Huge does not even describe this bed...
We have a 50 pound doberman that had worn out her last bed pretty quickly by digging it to make it "comfortable". I was determined to find a big bed that would last a while that would be big enough for her to stretch out in. This bed is definitely more room than she needs. I may get a size smaller next time just to save some money because she doesn't even take up half of the bed. The only thing I am concerned about is how durable the bed is. It is a foam mattress pad with the cloth cover wrapped around and elastic on the bottom to keep it in place. The bed itself does not seem as durable as I would hope for a $50.00 dog bed but so far it is holding up pretty well. I make sure to not let our dog dig and scratch at the bed to try to keep its shape a little longer but hopefully it will hold out long enough to get our moneys worth. Overall, I would recommend this bed and don't be worried that it wont be big enough. If your dog doesn't fit into this bed, they are a bear in disguise.

Snuggly and almost perfect
If I could base this review solely on how much my 14-year old Lab loves his new bed, it would have 5 stars and glowing words. He loves his bed and it's a great size (plenty of room to spare for my 75 lb. dog). He loves to tuck his head against the sides and snoozes comfortably. But. I've pulled the cover off to wash it and the faux lambswool isn't stitched to a base that is well-fabricated, I fear that a dozen washes will cause the stitching to separate and it will eventually fall apart in my washing machine. Sadly, my old boy may not be with us in a dozen washes, so the comfort factor is definitely the principle concern. Since the cover is open on the bottom this may not be the best option if you have a pup or anxious dog who would love to chew the rubber-y pillow.But... if you have an old friend who just needs a comforting pad for his old bones, this bed is perfect. I scruffle my boy's ears nearly every day and say "I'm so glad I got this bed for you buddy!"

The dog chewed up his expensive bed but it really was a nice bed!
Shopping for a large dog bed online is not easy - I've had to figure out if our 120 lb mutt would fit as most items labeled "extra large" are not built "Bo's" size. The bed came quickly and I was proud to buy a product labeled "USA" - it is nice to see a company manufacturing item in our country. The bed is HUGE and Bo fit in it (although his feet would stick out). The only reason I did not rate it five stars is because the egg-crate foam does feel cheap. It would be nice if it had a little more padding to it for comfort. Our dog loved the sides of the bed.I think the bed came as promised, was sized perfect, beautiful color, and designed great. Our dog simply decided he would rather sleep on a hard floor and used his expensive, new dog bed as a chew toy.

Not As Good As It Used To Be
I've bought three of these over the years. They used to be well-constructed and durable. I only had to repurchase because I ended up giving them away to needy dogs. But the most recent one I bought was a mess. The bottom piece of foam is separate from the side pieces, and the cover shifts all over the place, with only a flimsy piece of materiel covering the bottom of the bed. What the heck happened? Don't waste your money.

My Dogs Love It
I have 2 dogs- 1 53 lb. American Pit Bull Terrier, & 1 62 lb. American Stratsford Terrier. They seemed to know it was for them the minute I took it out the box, & spend a large amount of their time in it, lol. The older one spends a large majority of her day in the bed, & the younger one joins her periodically throughout the day. They both fit comfortably...as long as one is not being a bed-hog & stretched completely out(and then they still both mange to squeeze in, lol). I have washed it once so far, & it washed easily, although not all the hair came out in the wash (they are both all black) & I had to "beat" it to get the extra hair off. I air-dried it as instructed, & it was a little tight going back on, but with the help of my daughter, we were able to stretch it back on.Overall, a great value for the price paid, & my dog's highly agree!

Perfect for medium to large dogs
We have two dogs and this is the third or fourth bed we've had in about a year and we've finally found a keeper! Our dogs don't tend to tear into their beds on their own but if a small hole wears through the fabric they will "explore it" until all the stuffing is out. We've had this problem with other beds with "washable" covers but not this one. The cover has held up great for about a year with no signs of wearing. The one downside is that the material on the bed tends to trap the dog hair in it and hold it even when washed. I marked down one star for this reason.

Cannot get the cover to fit right
If someone has an answer to my problem with this bed, I will be forever grateful. I have lost count of how many of these beds I've bought, but I think it's at least 7. At present I have 4 - 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs - for my 2 labs. No matter what I do, I cannot get the covers back on to fit very well. The foam always buckles and I am frustrated to the point of looking for another type of bed to buy. I like these because of the way they look when they arrive, but after washing it's a different story. I wash them in cold water and I don't use heat to dry them, so there's no reason why they should shrink. I know that the earlier versions were made with a cotton-type cloth that may have been more prone to shrinking but the current ones are a different material. I still have one of the earlier ones and I had to cut down the middle of the seam in the back just to make it fit. I order XL's and it's like they give you a size smaller than what you need. If they would just make the covers a few inches bigger it would solve the problem. I emailed Dog Bed King and asked if there is a secret as to how to but the covers back on to make this work better and they didn't even respond. Other than the covers not fitting well, I have no complaints about the beds. My dogs love them, but then they're not concerned with aesthetics and the fact that these things buckle and look all rumply. Until Dog Bed King starts making the covers bigger - and advertises that they're doing so - I won't be buying any more of these beds.
