Horrible Uke!
Poor finish, rough edges, glue everywhere.Action is incredibly high, stickers look tacky, and it sounds boomy and the strings are horrible. For the money, much better plastic ukes out there.

I like the look, but...
I attempted to play classical guitar many years ago without success I bought the concert size Bugs Gear because the headstock is slotted like a classical guitar. I also own a soprano Bugs Gear that I like. But, the "cool factor" of the concert size almost stops right there. The sound emitted by the concert is deeper as expected, but there is a cheaper quality to the sound compared to my soprano BG. It comes out rather rubber band-like-"wah-oooom!"I have no illusions about becoming like Jake What's-his-name, I am not a tune picker, I am a chord banger and that's all I want to do. So, this concert uke will be in the rotation of my plastic ukes as third-"string," beater for the beach and pool where the sounds of waves and lapping water drown out the music anyway. Before you give up from reading this 2-star review you need to know a couple of things. First, I was under the mistaken impression that the concert size BG came with a low-G string-mine did not. So, I scrounged around my uke parts drawer and found an Aquila Red low-G, stretched it by hand and replaced the high G. This explains some of the "wah-ooom!" Secondly, The sound hole placement might be attributable to my noise emmission sensitivity. I am not an expert on sound hole dynamics, but it could be that the sound hole might be better placed on the large front surface of the body-say, like the Tacoma Acoustic Guitar. You might just love the sound coming directly at the musician.I should add that I am nearly deaf in one ear...

Beware!- Despite weeks of allowing the strings to settle this thing will NOT stay in tune.- The position of the tuning gears is awkward.. one bump and it is instantly out of tune.- Shoddy construction: You can see glue on the seams....... need I go on... Run away from it.

Untrue fretboard - goes sharp!
This is a nice looking concert size uke, with good resonance. The problem is that the frets are not true, with the result that the pitch becomes more and more sharp and off-key as you got up the neck of the instrument, which affects all chords. The padded case is very nice, and was included with my uke. Price was only $60, so don't spend any more than that! If you are serious about playing, though, the untrue fretboard is a serious problem that cannot be remedied, so buy something else!
