Many years ago I owned a massage chair which I enjoyed until it wore out. Since I now live in a flat and have no more room for a, very expensive, replacement chair I bought this massager as, what I thought, would be a shadow of a replacement but it turns out to be a very comprehensive and powerful massager which I can move from chair to chair. The back massage is very strong. So strong in fact that I have placed a strip of foam under the flap to tone it down a bit. The neck massager also works well for my height (5ft 6in). I cannot comment on pain relief as I only wanted this for relaxing massages and do not suffer with back pain so have reduced this aspect by one star as I am unable to test it. All in all a very well priced and well made piece of equipment and a very good replacement for my old and worn out massage chair.

I have suffered from chronic back pain for over 40 years due to my job sitting hunched over a computer screen as a computer programmer. This back massage has helped reduce my pain significantly from first use. I have been using the shiatsu program for my back and then separately the shiatsu program for my neck as I find my neck doesn't really make contact with the neck massager when the back massager is on my upper back. I like the fact that the neck massager is adjustable for height as I am 6 ft 2 in tall. You can also adjust the neck massager down on to the top of your upper back, an area missed by the back massager alone. I have been using it twice a day and I am finding it very beneficial. My wife although sceptical at first has agreed that she is enjoying the experience and her back feels much more relaxed too.Hint: don't over do the number of sessions per day. I would start off with one session per day and see how your body reacts and then build up the number of sessions. A maximum of three is suggested.

* liked the strong air pressure on the sides* very good and strong massage pressure on the neck, lower and middle back area, not painful and hard, soft coating* simple control panel* quiet enough* does not reach the upper back , even on a shorter person, but the neck part moves down and when sitting on the pillow it massages the shoulders and upper back, absolutely fantastic

I nice relaxing massage. neck and back with air bladders that take a bit to get used to, now use always. shame the neck massager does not go up and down.

This neck and back massager damaged my back, I had a mild backache so I bought this as I live on my own with nobody to massage my back for me, the first time I used it it felt like it was trying to break my back and all it did was trap a nerve in my back that caused me pain for months and months sending me to the hospital to seek help.If you have any problems whatsoever with your neck or back DO NOT USE THIS IT WILL ONLY MAKE THEM WORSE!!!
