Can this be used to just peel and core the apple to make apple dumplings?

This peels and slices the apples very thin that’s why it makes it so easy to make pies and applesauce very quickly I’m not sure how thick the apples have to be for dumplings.

I’ve never tried peeling a beet but I’m pretty positive that it would. The item connects at the core and you set the peeling distance and spin it by turning the handle. So it can be used for apple, potatoes and I presume a beet as well.

what is the largest apple that can be used?

Outside of a pineapple, I cannot think of an “apple” that couldn’t be used with this peeler. It’s quite industrious and sturdy. But if a pineapple was already de-pined, it too could be cored and sliced on this device.

Is this dishwasher safe?

Never put it in the dishwasher didn’t seem that it was that dirty just soak it in Dish soap and dry
