An excellent concept with an imperfect design
I loved the concept of this saddle, and the saddle does have great potential. However, my experience over thousands of kilometres left me a little sore - both physically and in terms of disappointment. The chief flaw in the design is the narrow length of the weight-bearing strip, which for me made it difficult to avoid having pressure on the hard plastic mounting at the front or the hard plastic mounting at the back. The strip was also a little narrow, and tended to leave me feeling unsupported. I would not generally recommend this saddle, although I suspect that I cyclist with a lighter build might get more joy out of it.

Back in the saddle again
I am (was) an avid cyclist, and I was averaging over 250 miles a week during the season for a few years. Then i developed pain in the perineum and started cutting back considerably and trying all different types of saddle (upwards of 15-20 different ones). I tried all of specialized line-up fitted at the local bike shop. I tried the SMP evo and fizik product, and nothing seemed to help. I went to the doc, and he told me he didn't know what was wrong but that i should stop cycling if i couldn't get the pain to stop. I road noseless saddles for a while. They helped the pain a bit but really hurt my cadence and control. I had some luck with a rented ISM peloton (which i am still considering purchasing) , but then I bought this Allay. I am back in the saddle. literally. I'm back up over 100 miles a week and no pain, so obviously I am thrilled with this saddle. It may not look cool with the highest quality leather and such like the SMP evo or others, but the construction is solid and it is hella better than the noseless. I run it with no air in the bladder, so I am not sure if pump mechanism works great, but this saddle works for me and that apparently is no small feat.
