Absolutely wonderful piano for all playing levels!!
I dont leave many reviews for puurchases I make. The product has to be an absolute piece of junk or absolute quality for me to write anything about it. Well for the PX S3100 there is nothing I don't like about it. I'm so happy I purchased this over some of the others in this price range. This is perfect for any home or stage performance even. From the fully weighted keys to the superb sound engine perfectly mimicking multiple pianos and it has so many other sounds and rhythms to choose from and these are quality realistic sounds. The speakers even sound loud crisp and clear with no distortion. I've seen videos that you can not connect this piano to a DAW and use it as a midi controller but that is not true. Maybe it was the 3000 model that couldn't do it but this new upgraded 3100 can. It's digital screen is bright and easy to operate and actually looks pretty cool and with the app set up its a breeze to control I've researched the Yamahas and Roland's in this price range and they don't come close to doing what this thing can. I even purchased the Alesis highest priced prestige piano before I bought this one and returned it because it was so limited. I was very dissapointed with it but this thing is an absolute joy to play. The quality is outstanding!!! I love it. Very happy customer!!

Long-time piano player: I'm in love here.
The most important thing to the audience and me is a great piano sound. Check. It's a GREAT piano sound. No strangely sampled notes, no detectable velocity switches, no harsh fff sample spike. This piano sustains, and when I dig into it, it roars like my Yamaha grand G4. Everything sounds good in headphones, but you can't give the audience headphones--it has to sound good in mono, and this thing sounds fabulous in mono! It's the lightest weight of all the weighted keyboards, and the weighted keys just feel right. They actually feel great, and I'm inspired playing it. On top of the top notch piano sample are great non-piano sounds and lots of them. The speakers are incredibly crisp and accurate and plenty loud. This thing can RUN ON BATTERIES, people! I can literally take and use a 25 pound piano ANYWHERE. The only negative (and for a constant fiddler like me, actually a plus) is that the interface, while comprehensive, takes some button pushes and time spent with the instructional video, but once you get the hang of it, it works fine (much better than it's little brother, the PX-S1100). And to top it off, the folks at my church where I play each week tell me they love the sound of it. Bam.

Fairly Goos
It is a fairly decent instrument . For me this digital piano is an 8/10.. mind you I am a beginner . However I make this review within the context of comparing it with an actual grand piano which sounds richer and more stimulating to the ears . I love for example the flute , strings and guitar voices . They sound crisp and amazing . Again improvement needed on the grand piano sound . I think it could be louder just to effect more feel in the sound.

It's all about the piano sound!!
How did Casio achieve such a pure and perfect piano sound? For years I've had to play around with my Roland and Korg piano sounds to get them to where I like them. Of course they're excellent keyboards and pianos No Doubt. But when I sit down to play only this Casio and the two others I bought do exactly that give me a piano sound that is excellent from the lower to the top octaves. This Casio adds the accompanyment rhythms and control knobs which provide me hours and hours of fun. The key bed feels great I know there's a lot of criticism out there but I believe it's unfounded. It is a happy medium of a heavy piano feel to a lighter easier feel that I can do great runs on.

Great sound and look
I’m loving my new digital piano. The sound is lovely and the weight of the keys is nice too. It’s been 12yrs since I played piano so I can’t speak much to the features of this keyboard. I had an upright piano back in the day. The instructions on how to use the other features isn’t that great for someone who isn’t familiar with how to utilize the options. I feel they could have done a better job of providing some guidance on how to make the most of the feature with some kind of tutorials. At some point I’ll figure it out but for now I’m happy with the sound and style of this keyboard.

Best choice for a narrow format digital piano.
Ideal for the narrow space—front to back—on my desk. The keys, necessarily shorter than on a piano to achieve this narrow format, do not present any undue difficulty in activating the keys when pressed close to the back as some have wondered about.

Excellent piano for worship
I bought this piano to learn worship with, and I know it's also got a lot of features that I will use eventually. Basically I future proofed to prevent upgrade-itis. I'm using it to play worship songs, I like being able to layer the sounds and change the volume of layers, and it's nice being able to save all these settings too to different profiles(banks). I like the texture of the keys over the gloss, and it's got a nice weighted feel to them. I was at guitar center today looking at some other things, and this is a few months after my purchase of the casio, and I was trying some different keyboards like the Yamaha, and I'm still very glad I made this purchase and my mind hasn't changed on it.

It's REAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLY GREAT!!!!!
Originally I wanted one of the more traditional looking digital uprights. I bought Donners most expensive black piano. The sounds which were quite a few were all pretty bad. Only about 5 piano sounds were decent. And something seemed wrong with one of the speakers occasionally. It went back and after reading about this one I pulled the trigger. Almost ALL of the sounds are fantastic. The speakers on this things are GREAT! THIS... THIS ONE RIGHT HERE.... is the one you want if you are looking for an amazing piano for your house and don't want to spend more than 1K. It's so slim which is a plus for me as I don't have tons of space. Get the stand it's awesome. You really can't go wrong with the (PX-S3100) There are some other nice slim electric pianos, Korg has one but at the end of the day this one had the best bang for the buck. There is a professional piano player out there that complains about the action... this piano WAS NOT for him... it's for 99 Percent of everyone else who wants to play and it feels awesome! If all you did was play piano EVERY SIGNLE DAY... I am sure there are better. But for Beginners to Professionals this Digital piano if FREAKING SWEET!!!!!! Just buy it, you won't regret it.
