Who knew it would be so hard to find Wollf's Kasha locally?
If you're an Ashkenazi Jew of a certain age, you likely grew up eating this stuff with bow-tie noodles. In my house, we like it as a pilaf with mushrooms as an accompaniment to a roasted chicken, and I sometimes bake it into whole-grain bread. Love the flavor! But my local supermarket seems to have stopped carrying it.I can buy whole buckwheat groats at Whole Foods and elsewhere, but one wants the ground up kind. I think I always liked the medium granulation best; at any rate, that's what this is. Until I found it on Amazon, I tried grinding my own in the blender, but it makes a mess. You don't get a uniform size. You get a mix of powder, coarse-grained, and fine-grained. Then it doesn't cook up right. Feh!I was a little dubious about buying 6 boxes at a time, but it didn't make sense to buy fewer boxes for nearly the same amount of money. So we made a gift or two, and we'll have kasha on hand for . . . oh, maybe a couple of years. The downside is that I can smell the buckwheat in my pantry, which means it's probably going to lose some freshness. I suppose I can wrap it in plastic . . .

Amazing product
It is Kasha which is almost impossible to find if you are not on the East Coast. They have changed the packaging but the product is unchanged.

One of the healthiest grains you can eat.
Make sure you get the Medium Granulation. It cooks better and integrates better into the meal. One of the healthiest grains you can eat. Try it with a light gravy or just plain.

Striving to Live to l02-1/2!!
I am so happy to have found Wolff's Kasha on Amazon. Thank You!!! When the supermarket that usually carries this in their International Section stopped carrying it I was worried about where I could get it, living in Texas an all...My Father lived to be l02-1/2 eating Kasha every day, and I decided to follow in his footsteps...My cousin, who is an alternative medicine doctor said it was very healthy, similar to Quinoa and had many health benefits...It is delicious...Try It!!!!

The Best Kasha
Been eating Wolff's Kasha since I was a kid. Dad would make it with macaroni elbows for us. It's great tasting, and a superfood. Who knew, back then, about superfoods. Would like to add that customer service from the folks at Burkett Mills is superb, friendly, professional. Highly recommended to purchase from them. Kasha is awesome!

-PACKAGES were not SEALED and kasha all over the box
I have ordered this product before and was very satisfied. This time the boxes were not sealed. 6 of the 4 boxes were opened with kasha spilling out everywhere when I opened the box. Then I tried to fill out a return and saw that this product cannot be returned. If that is the case I will definitely never order this product again

Breakfast like Grandma used to make!
Wolff's Kasha is one of my favorite breakfast foods. My grandmother used to make it for me and it makes me feel warm and nostalgic when I eat it now. I recommend using the method where you mix in one raw egg and stir it over low heat until the egg dries on each granule. Then, add two cups water and cook for 20 minutes. The resulting texture is firm yet fluffy, never mushy. Add butter and salt for a protein rich breakfast delight!
