Perfect for one person - any more and you'll be refilling it more than once a day, but even if you need to refill, it filters FAST, so the only waiting will be for the fridge to chill it for you! There's no way around the space inside needed for the water filtration (this applies to all filter pitchers), so if you want something smaller and more lightweight, it has to be a smaller amount of water filtered. This is a great product for MUCH LESS money (the replacement filters, too) than Brita and the difference in your water is very noticeable - very clean taste and smell. I am on a well system and this really cleaned-up my drinking water. We fill bottles of water to take to work and I swear one time the water tasted of mushrooms! So with this and with all the stories in the news about water supplies sometimes not being great, we decided to get a filter jug. We looked at several brands and eventually went with Clear Genius because we wanted to cut down on the amount of plastic waste we produce.As a word of advice, when you first get this jug, wash all of the pieces in dish soap and rinse off with water before using. We made the mistake of not doing this and all our filtered water tasted of plastic! After a quick wash of the jug's components, this taste faded after about the first 500ml. From that point on, all of the water from this jug has tasted very clean and clear. There are no foul tastes, and it seems to taste just as good as the water you'd get out of commercially bottled packs.I have no scientific way to know what exactly is being filtered out in our tap water, but just based on the taste alone, I'd say there's a good deal of crap that is no longer in our water! With the amount of water we drink on a daily basis, this worked out to be a great deal for us. We'd highly recommend this jug to anyone looking for a more eco-friendly filter jug than those that use plastic cartridges. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good product *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2017* I purchased this to replace the Pur pitcher I had for a couple years. The taste of the filtered water and the quality of the pitchers appear to be equal. The main selling point of this product is probably that it's better for the environment since less plastic is used for the replaceable filters. It's really nice that the filters cost a lot less too. Great long term investment for heavy water drinkers.The lid doesn't stay on, but it's easy enough for me to keep a thumb on it so it stays in place when I pour a glass. The upside to this is, it's super easy for a lazy person like me to remove the lid when it needs to be refilled, and it's refilled a lot because of its small capacity.It's 1 to 2 cups smaller than what I'd prefer for our 2 person household, but filters maybe twice as quickly as the Pur pitcher I'm used to.
