Junk Drawer Picasso?
My apologies, I just couldn't stop. If I found something interesting in a drawer, the bottom of a tool box, or around the house ... and could find a way to bolt it on, I did!High art, no ... but entertaining, yes.The underlying model was just fine. simple, inexpensive, and not too hard to assemble.Would be appropriate, I guess, as a STEM toy for a child.or a retired old manwith maybe too much time on his hands.5 stars

A good model, but the instructions are a little hard to follow
I recently bought the COSKEHAN STEM model plane kit for my 11 year old daughter who aspires to become an engineer. The kit comes with 201 pieces, and it was a great way to encourage her interest in STEM and give her an opportunity to learn about engineering and building. The finished airplane looks great and is a nice addition to her collection of various 3d puzzles and other types of models that she has built. While the kit was overall enjoyable, there were a few pieces that were a bit difficult for my daughter to put together, and the instructions were not always clear. Additionally, some of the pieces did not fit together perfectly, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, though, the kit was a great purchase and a fun activity for my daughter. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a STEM building toy for their child, but I really hope that the people who designed this kit could update the instructions and perhaps label the parts with numbers so they would be easier to identify. My daughter ended up with about 6 pieces she didn't know where they went unfortunately. Solid 4 stars!

More difficult to assemble than expected
My 10 y/o son was excited to try assembling this airplane. We brought it with us while on vacation and he worked on it for a couple hours a day for 4 days with occasional help from myself. The instructions are not very clear (pictures only, no text) and many times my son would have to disassemble parts of the plane to get another piece on because the the picture instructions were not in the correct order. There are times when you will have to bend the metal so the parts will fit together. It is advertised for ages 8+, but realistically the child would probably need to be 12+ to assemble this without help unless the child is an engineer in the making. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but sometimes it took me a few minutes s staring at the pictures to figure out how to install some of the pieces. Also, you have fat fingers and big hands or arthritic hands, it will be very difficult for you to attach the screws and nuts on certain pieces. There were many times my son got really frustrated because after spending a lot of time getting pieces together, he realized that he will have to disassemble parts of it to make pieces fit. This airplane definitely requires a lot of patience, but can be a good learning too for kids to teach patience and that sometimes you make mistakes and you will need to go back and correct the mistakes. The biggest complaint I have about this airplane kit is the crappy instructions. They should redo the instructions and make it into a step by step booklet versus a sheet of pictures front and back. Also it would be nice to label the different lengths of screws on the plastic bag because it is difficult for a child to figure out the lengths per instructions and the screw measurement on the box. My son did finish the plane, but due to the need to bed some of the metal pieces, the plane doesn’t exactly look like the one in the advertisement due to not being fully square. The cost of this airplane kit is appropriate, just need better instructions.

Likely will require adult supervision-Instruction manual in need up update (small print, etc.)
This metal aircraft toy set is rated as suitable for children aged 8 and up. I ordered the set for my 6-year-old to work on with my husband. After assembling, most adults would agree that it is a predominantly adult job unless the child is quite skilled at assembly. They usually work with building blocks and my son loves stem activities. This airplane comes with a manual book and toolset. The model measures 3" x 7" x 9" after assembly, and has adjustable screws for movement. The metal sheets are made of iron and nickel plated, while the cabin is made of environmental protection PP material. My husband and child are currently working on the plane and I will update you with further time when they are finished to whether this was a successful endeavor.
