Rockport Men's Charles Road Cap Toe Oxford

Ordered these in the size I normally wear. I even have another pair of Rockports (not the same style) in my normal size and they actually fit a bit loose. These were tight to the point of rubbing a nasty blister on my left heel by the end of the first day I wore them and painfully crushing the front part of my foot. Traded them the next 1/2 size up, and those seem to be fine. Return was easy and I received a full refund.March 10 2018 Update: I liked the first pair so much (once I moved the 1/2 size up) that I bought a second pair. The right shoe fits great. The left shoe fits ok, but when I walk, the front part (the last?) where it comes together with the rest of the shoe cuts into the top of my foot. Hoping the as they break in that goes away. I still like the shoes, but I can see why people still are leery of buying shoes on line. You never quite know what you are going to get.

Wife insisted I needed new dress shoes for upcoming event. Groan! These are fine and they didn''t cost an arm and a leg for shoes that I will wear once or twice a year, assuming nobody dies.

I was excited to purchase a pair of Rockports. I owned a pair many years ago that lasted almost 2 years of a church mission. High quality and comfortable shoe. I was greatly dissapointed to find that Rockport has diminished significantly in quality. The sole/bottom of the shoe is this cheap Chinese foam/plastic stuff, not real rubber that I was expecting. I anticipate it will last a month at best. I will update my review accordingly.

I'm on my feet a lot and love the roomy toe box. It took a week to break them in now my daily shoes. They seem to hold up well but have only had them about a month. So far so good. I miss my Dressports from the '90s. They would last for years as Rockport's of today last about 1 1/2 at best. Good shoe for the money though.

Great shoe for the price! Very comfortable and fits as expected. The laces stay tied and feel durable, not like other shoes where the laces shred after so many lacings. My left shoe does make a strange popping sound as I walk, no idea if the shoe is defective or not, but it's not super loud and doesn't hurt. Otherwise I would've given a 5-star review.

They are rockports so they are comfortable for all the walking I tend to do. Couple of things I'm not thrilled with is that the leather doesn't take a shine very well (military style spit shine so far hasn't been achieved) and the laces are terrible as they come untied easily unless I double knot them. The width is a little more than I expected. I got just normal which is good for most of my shoes. It's not enough of a difference to cause discomfort.

Shoe is sized about as expected. Material is very thin and light. Does not feel like a quality shoe, but I cant speak to how it will wear, as I had to return it. The transition on the insole from the heel through to the toe is uncomfortably abrupt. On one shoe the transition was noticeable, but not terrible. But for the other shoe, the shape of my foot made it painful after a few minutes wear. The padding in the insoles doesn't feel firm enough to hold up to daily wear and still be comfortable.Overall, a good looking but inexpensively made shoe.

I was especially pleased with the color of these shoes. I bought them to wear with jeans and they look really smart with jeans. I was pleasantly surprised at how light weight these shoes are. These are the lightest-weight dress shoe that I have ever worn. They didn't require any breaking-in at all. In addition to the light weight they have a removable insole and a padded collar for added comfort. The low price makes them a great value.

Rockport shoes are very durable and nice.I bought this but wasnt aware the bottom was EVA foam which has barely any grip and chances of slipping increase. I returned and bought another Rockport with rubber bottom.

The shoes are made of soft leather and are very light and comfortable. The size is a bit small and tight. However, after some break-in, I expect they will be just fine.

I never thought I would buy shoes online but this ended up being a good experience. I've been a fan of Rockports for a long time and I just replaced the ones I had before.

Sizing was just right and the comfort level was exceptional
