However, I finally figured it out, getting the detector properly oriented in the bag. Fold the coil toward the back of its support rod, then put the detector in, with the control box up next to the zipper, not downward as I first tried. No need to take off the arm support, like I did at first; when fully collapsed it fits just fine. I only have the 10" coil, but there is room for the headphones, a trowel, a pin-pointer, the rain cover and fast start card, and it looks like another coil or two could still fit beside the detector. Once the detector was put in correctly, it all seemed obvious, but I missed it at first. Bag is well made of tough material, but not padded.
