It's a st Croix.... Of course it's awesome. It's a nice improvement over the last model. Very nice actions.. They say fast but I'll say MODERATE FAST. lure or Bait with no complaints. Not overpriced like the g Loomis..... I've had dozens of Loomis, dozens of Croix, dozens of Shimano, dozens of lamiglas..... I always come back to st Croix. It will pair up perfectly with a 1000 size Shimano or daiwa. Great guides too. A+

St Croix- known for quality, weight, comfort, and a smooth cast Their ultra light rods are good. Not great. I have 2 though. I like a 6 foot trout rod. Many get 7. But the 6 does me just fine It is a quality rod. It shows no sign of wear or breaking anytime soon or in the future Comfort to me means driving it around w a lure tied on. The two piece and the top ring are good for that, the top ring, great- nothing slipping through- even the smallest spinner I have a tfo and eagle claw rod (which is solid yellow- this rod looks much more muted), still when my brother asked how to get into spin fishing for trout, I recommended a St Croix rod to get started. It has quality, history, and status of a known trout company

Sensitivity of the rod is excellent. I was a little concerned about the lack of a hand grip, however it is super comfortable to hold, and the action on it is amazing. Great for an ultralight setup.

It’s a nice rod but it arrive with the first eyelet bent. Amazon needs to be more careful handling there merch. I order a bass x rod and a truimph rod it came in the solids tube ship with no damage. This came in a box. Was not expecting that. So.. for now on I’m probably just gonna order from st croix itself. No picture due to me fixing the issue myself out of habit but afterwards it appears to be solid condition and no other damage.
