The Devil Inside [Blu-ray]

Fabulous! 5 Stars
I totally believed the entire story. It was terrifying. Wonderful acting by everyone. If this is fiction, I don't know how those girls were able to contort their bodies so well and climb walls. Well researched as to the true signs of demonic possession. It is so wrong of the Catholic church not to sanction exorcisms when people are truly possessed and the numbers are increasing, a sign that the devil is at work. There is so much hatred and evil in today's world. Crimes are being committed that were unheard of back in the day. As a Catholic, I truly believe it is the work of the devil trying to steer us away from Catholicism and to turn our backs on God. Few people are entering the priesthood or becoming nuns. You can't paint all the priests and nuns with the same brush because of some sick individuals. Even with strong proof of demonic possession, it is a sad state of affairs that some priests have to take matters into their own hands by performing exorcisms undercover to save souls.

A Total Insult To Horror Fans.
Warning: SPOILERS!!! THE DEVIL INSIDE (2011) is one of those infuriating "found footage" supernatural horror flicks that just ends without resolving anything and then has the nerve to point you to a web site for further information! I wonder how audiences in theaters took that bit of cop-outishness? I'm sure they demanded their money back! The story, as it were, is about a daughter who hasn't seen her mother for over 20 years, after her mother murdered two priests and a nun who were performing an exorcism on her in 1989. Her mother was found not guilty due to insanity in a court of law, but the Vatican had her moved to a religious asylum in Italy, not allowing her daughter to see her. She assembles a "documentary crew" (which is just her and a cameraman!) with the purpose of interviewing her mother and taking classes on exorcisms! Two priests, working without the Vatican's approval, tell the daughter that in order to understand an exorcism, she has to attend a real one, which she does. As you can probably guess, the daughter also becomes possessed (her mother is possessed by multiple demons) when one of the demons leaves her mother's body and possesses the daughter in an unofficial exorcism performed by the two priests. The film ends with a car crash involving the daughter, one of the priests (the other one committed suicide!) and her possessed cameraman (!) and none of the plot points are cleared up, with the aforementioned web site address popping-up on screen telling the viewer to go there if they want to get updates on the case! Well, I went to the web site, but it wanted to add extensions to my browser and change my search criteria. Screw that and screw this film! Directed by William Brent Bell, who gave us the skidmark-stained films STAY ALIVE (2006), WER (2013) and THE BOY (2015). Need I say more?;

Freakin GREAT Horror Movie
I am a real fan of great quality independent, foreign, sundance, documentaries, and horror films. I am hard to please because I feel that most horror movies today are pretty awful, using more sex, blood and predictable naked stupid women to draw 13 year olds. This was an excellent movie. Kept my attention from beginning to end and the acting was exceptional. Really scary freaky exorcism scenes!! A person who likes quality would love this film, but I think a lot of maybe men who were expecting the usual boobs and blood, even in an exorcism movie, would hate this film and call it boring.

If you ich for watching a Exorcist film, about exorcists...
We all need to get over ourselves...this was one hell of a suspenseful film. I liked it. This movie was captivating from the beginning. Starting with the real news cast and 911 call supposedly made by Marie Rossi was a brilliant way of bringing in the plot and story line right off the bat.(More research I did on this Maria Rossi showed it was all creative fiction, but based on a real UK murderer of the same name) The pseudo documentary style is hard to pull off if your a director and producer, and they did a great job of putting it together seamlessly as to not draw too much attention to the camera.Story: became very fresh when Isabella has to confront her mother, the twists in the writing was very clever, such as the exorcist priest invoking the evil spirit upon himself and hurting a baby at a baptism, as the cops get involved.Plot: Is rather original, a girl wants to find and meet her long lost demon possessed mother who supposedly killed people.Acting: lead girl was great, very well played a part of a lonely girl in Rome. The Priests both were very good actors, and believable.Role players: such as the camera man, did act a bit and had to do little to convince the viewer of much emotion. I'd say the real actor is the possessed mother, wow, very hard to pull off all that intense rage...Direction: if anything the direction was seamless, and the exorcisms were very realistic and quite frightening; the smutty talk in another language made it sickening and the blood splattered and sprayed.Production and effects, looked to be as professional as the paramount name suggests, this is not a B rated film, it had a low budget, but you as the viewer never once noticed it that way.I believed in the exorcists and put this at the top of these types films here on Amazon...

WASTE OF TIME FOR TRUE HORROR FANS
Camera movement might make you sick.....it did me. Aside from that, it was not scary. Became predictable after a certain point, with poor acting of the main protagonist. Brought nothing new to the table. What should truly disturb people about this flick is the behavior of The Vatican. If you're a hard core fan of horror like me, do yourself a favor and skip this altogether. There are much better movies out there that are more authentically frightening.......THE VVITCH, HEREDITY, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, THE SHINING, all come to mind.

Mediocre
I'm a great sci-fi and horror fan but found this rather a mediocre example of the genre.

Possessed hahaha!!!!
I love demonic possession movies. My favourite used to be zombie movies because they were so funny not scary. However, I prefer demons after watching the Paranormal Activity movies. This movie has some good genuinely scary moments in it. Well acted and brilliant effects!!! Anxiously waiting to see what happened at the end after the car crashed. I hope the demon survived for a sequel hahaha!!!! Blu-Ray brilliant as expected.
