I’m honestly not thrilled with these. They work, but i has to do so much more work than I did with other brands, and I still may have gotten contamination due to a few problems. First off, be sure you tighten the plastic port that holds the breathable filter. All of mine were very loose. My biggest problem with these is that they are just plain canning lids with added holes. This means they have the glue on them, instead of a bead of silicone like some others. They also are two piece lids, so when you are tightening the band after removing from PC, you have to be sure not to tear the foil on the breather filter. I even knocked one of my breather filters out while trying to tighten the metal ring. Hopefully I didn’t introduce contamination, but I’m expecting that I did at this point. I’m sure these roll with okay with some extra care, but I will not be buying them again. I will be going with the one piece tin lids that are reusable if I have to buy more in the future.
