Scaredy Cut Silent Pet Grooming Kit For Cats & Dogs - Quiet Alternative to Electric Clippers For Sensitive Pets - Left-Handed, Pink Review: Our son developed a phobia to the sound of electric clippers and ever since my wife tried learning how to cut his hair using scissors. Although she always does a great job, one of the hardest thing to master is to be consistent on the cut lengths and this scissor does the trick. It has the combs/clips that clippers use but the cutting action is done manually, so there’s no sound and it doesn’t trigger a reaction to it. Our son remains quiet while getting his hair done and we are very happy that his haircuts are nicer and nicer. For kids with sensory issues and/or any kind of phobia to actual clippers, this could be considered as a great option. Review: I am so happy with this product. In fact, I can't remember the last time I've even written a review. But, I logged on before dawn just to give my feedback. Background: My Havanese former shelter pup does not like being groomed. At all. He is especially anxious about people touching his legs and feet. When we would take him to groomers, we always had to ask for someone who was very patient with dogs who didn't like being groomed. Sometimes we lucked out. Once or twice, we were pretty much asked not to come back. About a year ago, we took him back to a groomer who used to come and groom him out of our house, since he was a puppy. She was moving away and suggested that before we take him to another groomer, we should take him to the vet for a sedative, for fear that he would have a heart attack on the table. Since the pandemic, I've been grooming him myself. He still doesn't love me touching his nails, but, this arrived yesterday and he had no problem with it (other than getting tired of me cutting his hair and not rubbing his belly!). Using these, it took a while for us to get the hang of it. At some angles, the scissors cut very quickly and effectively and at some angles they won't cut at all. Once we found our rhythm, we made a lot of progress (we did it in spurts and will finish up tomorrow). Highly recommend this product if you have a very anxious pooch. No scary buzzing sounds. Nice looking, clean cut, with the low guard. Best of all, no stress and strain for him or for us.

Scissors kept falling apart because the screw holding it together would not tighten. Because the screw worked loose so easily the blades would not stay close enough to cut after the very first pass. I tried for half an hour and they simply just did not work. Not sure if I got a defective pair or if it’s just not a quality product. Either way I would not buy them again from this company.

This is very easy to use I was able to cut alot of my cat's hair off in my first ever try. It did take me several trys as she doesn't doesn't like being touched. So it is un even in my first ever she is long hair so I'm am pretty impressed that I got alot off. A great alternative to clippers which I was not even considering because of how she is. My only constructive feedback is when cutting the hair I wish you could cut as much going down as going up the way it shows . Just to make it easy for those really finicky animals other than this I do like these

Easy to use even if you have a squirmed! Great results! Highly recommend! If not easy to use, adjust the knob on the scissors until uppi can jiggle the top portion and the bottom one jiggles on its own but not too easily. I wanted to post a video about adjusting properly because they arrived too tight, as many professional shears do. Maybe the pic will help! I'm impressed with the product!
