How is the chuck attached to the spindle? The bore of the chuck is smooth. Is it a press fit?

It would help to know what tool is involved. You can probably see this on You Tube. Chucks are attached 2 ways, by an internal thread or by a press fit.  It sounds like yours is a press fit. Measure the diameter of the chuck hole at the hole entry end,  and measure the diameter the hole as far deep into the hole as a caliper will reach.  If the inside is smaller than the entry hole it is a tapered hole press fit. Look for a smooth tapered shaft fitted to the tool.  Open the jaws until they do not protrude but are withdrawn into the chuck to prevent damage to the jaws or chuck, and thoroughly clean the shaft and hole with lacquer thinner, or acetone. If you have air, blow dry both pieces. Otherwise use a lint free shop rag. Then using a copper or brass hammer drive chuck onto the shaft.  If neither is available use a steel hammer with a block of hard wood, like oak, between the chuck  and the hammer to prevent damage to the chuck. If it is going on to a hand held power tool, a few medium taps will do it.  If it is going on to a 1/2 drill press, it might take a few hard whacks.

what is the max stock that can be used?

The max height for boards under the 1/2 inch mortise drill is approx. 4 1/2 inches high.
The max depth from drill center to fence is approx. 3 inches.
With the fence removed there is approx. 5 1/2 inches of depth.

Where can i find an assembly video

I don't think there is any video but when I put mine together I had to figure it out and if you're like me when I got my machine there was extra parts and I had to make my own tool holder cause I didn't get one which was suppose to be in the box I had also looked at the photos on Amazon which shows you where all of the parts were suppose to go on the machine which had helped me a lot and as for using the machine I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I did plug it in to see if the motor works only thing I didn't like is that I think the chuck key used to tighten the drill bits in the chuck could've been a little longer which I will probably modify it so I I have more reach cause it just barely reaches in through the cast iron chuck cover

I don’t understand how the Chuck works to using the square bits.  Is there a video available?

The drill bit attaches to the chuck. The square outside housing is held in place with a yolk which goes up and down with the drill bit to create square holes in your stock.  Vevor.com has more information and you can email them with more questions.
