SH91/52 Shaving Head Replacement

Very good shave from these factory heads. I had some knock off heads, and these absolutely are far better. Smooth shave. Fits perfectly. Don’t cheap out on the knock off. Get these.

Yes! There are too many knock offs out there stating they work great. I’ve tried those. Now this is the real deal! Made by Norelco in The Netherlands. Yep, they are pricey, but man are they worth it. These are sharper than the originals. I put these in my several year old series 8000 and it was like a new shaver, but better. I used it on 3 day growth and the blades comfortably did the job like when the shaver was brand new. No weird grinding noises. The build quality is outstanding and I have no doubt the upgraded SH91 heads will last a long time. My shaver says to use the SH90 head blades. I have in the past and they were great OEM replacements. But to see the upgraded SH91 still be compatible with the older shavers that still work is awesome. So good on Philips Norelco for not making you get a new shaver to benefit from an even sharper and more efficient shave. These flush out with water easy like the originals. Tip: every few weeks, take the blade heads apart and use a toothbrush to scrub them clean. Let the pieces air dry and reassemble.

Tried 2 sets of replacement blades before ordering the Norelco blades, don't waste your time if I could give it a ten star rating I would, smooth, quiet and fast.

This repair kit made me realize how comfortable my razor was when I first bought it. It gave me a smooth shave with no grabbing or other unpleasantness. It was easy to install, had no skin irritation, had a very close shave, was nicely sharp and very pleasant to use overall. Highly recommend.

Apparently, the Norelco 9000 series razors have 2 generations for the razor head shape. Gen 1 is round and Gen 2 is the pentagon shape. BUT, regardless of generation, both apparently have the same round razor heads. Who knows why the marketing folks would show the Gen 2 razor head when what they are selling works for either generation. And, it is only the 3 round heads and the 3 round guards!!!! What has changed is JUST the round razor guard and the round razor head (set of 3) come in this package. It no longer contains the whole razor head or the top piece (which holds the razor heads). What you will keep when switching out your old heads for the new are the top holder for the razor heads and the guards (mine were metal and twist off and on). Confused? I was. Why would the picture show parts that are in the box AND parts that are no longer provided????? I have used this product for a week and can attest it works great! I have had my Norelco 9000 series for 5-6 years and this has to be the 3rd replacement for the razor heads. I was so frustrated with Norelco because this series is very pricey--much more expensive than any of the prior ones I have used in my nearly 50 years of shaving. And no longer includes the parts they have included for decades (top blade holder and the locking rings to secure the razor heads).... Hopefully Norelco will keep this replacement part in stock for many years!!!

I spend the extra money to get these genuine Philips Norelco heads. There are lots of generic replacement heads available for less, and perhaps some of them are decent, but I haven't wanted to fiddle around with them (they get mixed reviews). Whenever I install these genuine Philips heads, my shaving speed jumps into overdrive - I just zip through it in half the time. Philips recommends replacing these annually, and I think that would be a good idea, but I tend to get lazy, and use them for a couple of years. They'll go on and on, but gradually getting a good shave starts to take longer, and you become more apt to nick yourself.

So far I’m very pleased with these new blades. I see a big difference between the Norelco blades vs the Philips normal blades Closer shave !
