Murdock Beard Balm: The Promotion My Beard Deserved
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Murdock Beard Balm – My Beard Has Become Management Material I bought Murdock Beard Balm hoping to tame my beard. What I didn't expect was for it to completely transform its personality. Before using this balm, my beard resembled an abandoned bird's nest that had lost a fight with a hedge trimmer. It had no direction, no discipline, and appeared to be operating independently of my face. After one application, everything changed. My beard suddenly looked organised. Responsible. Employable. It now appears to have a pension plan and a LinkedIn profile. The hold is excellent without making my beard feel like it's been shellacked by a Victorian furniture restorer. It keeps everything neat while still allowing enough movement to maintain the illusion that I'm effortlessly rugged rather than spending ten minutes grooming in front of a mirror. The scent is fantastic too. Not overpowering, just enough to make you feel like you've stepped out of a premium barbershop rather than crawled out from underneath a Land Rover. Since using Murdock Beard Balm, strangers have started asking me for craft beer recommendations. Delivery drivers nod at me with newfound respect. My beard now enters rooms several seconds before I do. The only downside is that I occasionally catch myself admiring my own reflection and thinking, "That's a beard that pays its taxes on time." Highly recommended for anyone whose facial hair has become an unsupervised wilderness. 10/10. My beard is now the most organised part of my life.

Disappointing!
It's OK but I was a little disappointed in it's effect on my beard.

Great feeling
Left face and beard soft to the touch. Unfortunately on this occasion the delivery driver left mine and two other customers packages outside the block where anyone could have taken them.

Not good
Missed return window after not opening right away. Says it leaves beard soft, when actually it does the complete opposite. After only using twice it will be getting thrown out. Does have good holding properties but at the expense of advertised softness. Do not recommend

Lovely smell
Smells nice. Similar to the same brand oil but not as nice as the oil. Not as greasy as othe balms

Meh
I don’t find this product very good. It feels like it’s not absorbed in your beard properly and needs to be combed out to get rid of that feeling

Not a beard balm, awful feel
This is more of a bog standard hair cream. Feels extremely sticky and dry in the beard. Makes your beard brittle. Don’t waste your money. I’ve used all of the Murdock range and usually good but I don’t know what they were thinking with this product

My go to
I received this and I was going to return it after smelling it initially. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head when he said it smells like Ben Gay. I then tried it and it's really awesome. It does a great job of holding down comb ways and pulling my beard together. It also doesn't leave a sticky feeling nor does it leave an oily feeling. This is the best product I've used for my beard.

Bester Beard Balm
Sehr guter Beard Balm. Angenehmer dezenter Duft. Das Balm ist auf der Haut und im Bart nicht ölig oder fettig. Ich bin begeistert, hervorragendes Produkt.

So far I like it
I was very confused at first. I received half-empty jar, with no protective film or anything. I was upset as I thought they sold me something used. I have ordered the same beard balm from the Nordstrom. It arrived exactly the same - the jar is half-filled, no foil cover (as they show in the commercial). So I wish the seller would provide more information about the product to avoid any suspicion or concerns. The quality is great. I do really enjoy the product.

My first experience with a "beard balm," and I have two minds about it.
I've been growing short beards for decades, sometimes trimming them off, occasionally shaving clean, and so on. I've never let my beard get very long, however, as this inevitably becomes itchy and scratchy at a certain point. My perspective on personal grooming... hair, beard, skin, whatever... is that I don't want to have to pay a whole lot of attention to it, but still want to be presentable and comfortable. This is probably a pretty common perspective for most men, I think. As I get older, and the hair "up top" thins out, I've been more inclined to let the beard grow longer, though. I haven't yet gone "full Santa Clause," and don't really plan to ever go "full Z-Z-Top," but letting it grow out a bit more is starting to gain more appeal. So, I saw this on my "Vine" reviewable items list, and decided to give it a shot. I've used it for about a week and a half, so far. I started using it two weeks into my most recent growth cycle... that is, having shaved clean a mere two weeks prior to starting to use it. And I'm, as my title states, of two minds. First off, I have noticed that my whiskers are notably softer and more pliant, but not "floppy." In other words, they seem more controllable. I'll only be able to say for certain as time goes on, and my beard grows in, however. But so far, it seems like it's doing the job it purports to do, and doing it reasonable well. I haven't noticed any skin irritation, or pimples, or the like... something I did experience with a "beard oil" I tried before. (I suspect that might be due to my sensitivity to certain commonly used "fragrance" additives... in particular, I'm strongly allergic to roses, and thus to rose oil, the most common generically-used "fragrance" you'll find) This stuff may have a tiny amount of rose oil in it as well... but it's not the most significant element of fragrance present, as far as I can tell. But it DOES have a fairly noticeable odor... and that's what my "other mind" is concerned by, and why I'm knocking a star off my review. It reminds me, frankly, of patchouli oil, though the overall odor is not exactly like straight patchouli oil, certainly. This is a scent I'm not personally especially crazy about, though I certainly have no allergic response to it... it's very mildly annoying to me, but not a source of "discomfort," in other words. No one around me seems to notice it, apart from my wife and my pets... the fact that it's right below my nose is certainly why it's so obvious to me. But I'd really prefer an entirely "unscented" version to one with even a mild "perfuming," as this one seems to have. The sense of smell is a very, very subjective thing. The scents I like might be objectionable to you, and the scents you like might not be MY favorites. So, I can only suggest that you try this out and see how you feel about the scent. It's not likely that I'll buy this exact compound in the future, despite it being apparently quite good as a beard-care compound, over the scent. But don't let that dissuade you. You might LOVE the scent (as other reviewers no doubt will point out that they do!)
