Batman & Superman in World's Finest: The Silver Age Vol. 1 (World's Finest (1941-1986))

Curt Swan and Dick Sprang goodness from the 50s.
300 and something pages of perfectly restored stories of Batman and Superman team up adventures. At a very cheap price. A complete bargain.DC's 1950s period is not very available, well, here you have some of the best comics of the decade from 1954-58. With some of the best artists too, Curt Swan and Dick Sprang, and lots of covers by Win Mortimer and plots by Edmond Hamilton and the legendary Bill Finger.Very happy with this book.

Silver Age Charm
This volume of early Superman & Batman team up short stories along with Robin and many appearances of Lois Lane are full of Silver Age charm and light hearted superheroics. Depending on your sensibilities there's also campiness, especially in the single story featuring the original Batwoman gaining super powers. I read this in small doses of a single story usually, sometimes two, and overall enjoyed the stories.

Too funny Man
World's Finest is that great read that'll get your mind off corona-not only funny but great stories that are pretty compelling. The art is good if you like 50's vintage comic book style, but it's just a great addition to your Batman or Superman collection!

Great quality
The stories, the colorful artwork, the nostalgia factor, and just plain fun makes this e-version worth the price. I like the print versions of these books even better, even though I have only one. But the e-version lets the reader zoom in on the artwork more easily than the print version and it is fun to do so while reading the stories. Highly recommended!

Cant beat the price for so much enjoyment.
This book is incredible! So much for so little cost. If you never read it buy it for your children, if you remember it you probably already bought it. Thank you DC for making this affordable for all your readers both old and young.

These stories look great!
Not enough of the 1950's DC comics get reprinted. There were a lot of fun stories from this period and it's nice to see some of them finally getting a decent restoration. I bought the digital version and I'm very pleased with it, I hope we see more!

The world's finest super team.
When I was a boy, World's Finest was the Batman book I liked least. I liked World's Finest more than Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane but looking back, I think I didn't like World's Finest for the same reason I didn't like Lois Lane. Superman is not a team player. He is too powerful. These are the earliest stories about the Superman, Batman, and Robin team. Most are better than the ones I remember. There is one I would have loved when I was ten in which Superman became super stupid, Robin became super smart, and Robin had to tell Superman what to do.I recommend this for young boys and those of you who must have every Batman and Superman story. I do not recommend it for girls because if she is the right sort of girl there is a story in this collection that will make her throw it against the wall. In an earlier story, Batman told Batwoman to retire AND SHE DID. In World's Finest, she came out of retirement and helped Superman, Batman, and Robin. Batman gave her his gracious permission to become Batwoman again and she didn't tell him to shove it using words that were not approved by the Comics Code Authority.
