But the internal SWR meter has a feature where it produces continuous sound when the measurement is 1.0/1.0, and it produces discontinuous beeps when measurement is not 1.0/1.0. This is an excellent feature from President, it does not require to read the display when tuning the antenna length for SWR. No, an external SWR is not needed, should not waste money for one **Q: Doesn’t this radio do FM mode as well?** A: Update to the people saying that FM is not allowed on the CB Band.. The FCC recently changed their rules [Β§95.971(a)] allowing AM, SSB and FM. I hope a future version of this radio supports FM. **Q: Is this a good cb for a cb beginner?** A: You want this radio. It has SSB for better distance. This is my Favorite CB Radio **Q: Where was it made ?** A: Their made in Minsk but have an office in Naples Florida, I believe that's where they come from! ## Frequently Bought Together - PRESIDENT MCKINLEY USA AM/SSB 12/24V CB Radio - RoadPro RPPS-220 Platinum Series 12V 3-Pin Plug Fused Replacement CB Power Cord, Black and Red - CB Antenna 28 inch 27 Mhz CB Radio Antenna Full Kit with Heavy Duty Magnet Mount Mobile/Car Radio Antenna Compatible with President Midland Cobra Uniden Anytone by LUITON --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/40737604-president-mckinley-am-ssb-cb-radio-12-24v-40-channel](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/40737604-president-mckinley-am-ssb-cb-radio-12-24v-40-channel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
