Great product; poor packing.
First, let me rate the product. I have three of these UPS units in my house now. This series of UPS delivers output power that has a much better approximation to a true sine wave compared to many UPS units without having to spend $400. As a result, the newer PC power supplies are much happier and thus quieter and there is money left in my wallet. The battery is easy to install and change, the display is informative, and you have the option to turn off the visual display when the unit is running. The unit itself is also very quiet. There is an option to connect the UPS to a USB port on a Windows PC (don't know about Mac) with the included cable and Windows 7 or later will recognize the UPS. You can then program your PC to automatically shut down safely when the UPS is drained to a specified level. I haven't had to use that feature because we have occasional brownouts and very brief outages, but very rarely long-term power outages. In short, great product. I have three and will buy more as I need them. Second, let me rate Amazon's shipping department. Simply stated they did a poor job. The last UPS I received was in a box with very little packing material. When I took the UPS out of the box, the case was broken well beyond repair and there were bits of plastic in box that had broken off. I didn't dare even to test the thing. Surely UPS must have been too rough in handling, but there wasn't any real packing material either. The UPS didn't stand a chance. I contacted Amazon and their customer service folks got me fixed up with a replacement, but it was a hassle I wish I could have avoided. The replacement arrived OK along with more packing. How lucky do you think you are? I really like the UPS and wish I could buy it retail. I have my doubts about buying heavy and fragile items from Amazon.

As advertised
Always a fan of APC brand UPS Backup, pretty reliable. I have two other but this is the first one this size. The screen is a nice ti=ouch, lets you know power usage.

Great ups for computers
I've used this ups for around 2 1/2 - 3 years and once I moved cross state I had to leave it behind due to the weight of it and being not as cost effective to ship across the us and ended up purchasing another one since it worked amazingly compared to the other ups's I've tried, gives you a buffer period between power flickers to not have your desktop pc completely shut off or a 5-15 minute window depending on your pc specs to power everything off safely in a full outage, I have a fairly beefy power hungry pc with a rtx 3080 and other high end parts and this is one of the few I've seen that can handle the wattage usage of my pc at this price point while still managing to keep my pc on during power flickers, also nice it has a side that's purely for surge protection and Ethernet surge protection, It's super important to have a solid Ethernet surge protector on your modem, had my previous 300$ 5 gigabit modem die to lightning hitting a tree in our front yard and having lightning travel up the copper coax line and frying it so make sure you're getting usage out of all of the features of this ups and save yourself money down the line with dead/fried components!

So far so good, waiting for power outage
Every winter we have a couple power outages (trees falling on powerlines). I have a couple NAS and I would hate it if I loose the data because of improper shutdowns. So go this unit, connected 2 nas and 1 router. Nas will shut down properly when battery level get low. Display showed 77 minutes power. Saw the indoor lights blinking ones and instantly got an email from my nas to tell me about the (in this case very short) outage. So far so good.

Good UPS but bigger than it needs to be
This is a good UPS with lots of features at a reasonable price. The display can show the load in watts, line in/ line out voltage, battery charge, and projected run time. You can also lock this display on a single function (like the load) so you don't have to click through the display to view it. The battery is the BX1000M form factor, a little bigger/blockier than the usual NP7-12 batteries that are very common in UPS devices. The BX1000M is a 9AH battery compared to the 7AH you get from the NP7-12 batteries, so that's a good thing as it should provide a longer run time for a given load. The UPS has 4 battery-backed outlets for the PC, monitor, etc, and 4 regular outlets as well for non-critical devices. There is also a set of Ethernet in/out jacks on the back for network surge protection and set of surge protected coax connectors for older network cables. The UPS has a power line fault LED so you'll know if your building wiring is correct or not. You can load software on a PC and monitor the UPS parameters locally (but not remotely over the network). I don't see the point of this, frankly. My only real gripe is that it's quite a bit bigger than it needs to be. This seems to be a trend in UPS manufacturers, but still...the whole UPS could be about 50% smaller than it actually is. All in all I think this is a good value for what it costs (~$115); time will tell if it lasts.

I recently purchased the APC Back-UPS Pro 700VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector (BR700G) and am thoroughly impressed by its performance. The unit arrived well-packaged, ensuring its safety during transport, and I found it incredibly user-friendly to set up and operate. Having tried various brands and even an APC model 20 years ago, I can confidently say that APC's quality consistently stands out. Their devices truly go above and beyond in terms of reliability and longevity. My oldest APC unit is still operational after 20 years, thanks to a simple battery replacement. However, one downside is the cost of original replacement batteries, which I find quite expensive. Despite this, my trust in the APC brand remains strong due to their products' enduring quality and performance.

Come da titolo questo UPS è a 120 Volt quindi inutilizzabile in Italia... peccato perchè il prezzo sarebbe stato ottimo!
