this awesome invention! I just open a cool can of ...
these things actually work and keep in the fizz. I originally bought them because I had to always either buy soda in bottles (which are far more expensive ) OR buy in cans or 2 liters and transfer them into bottles with lids. Only because I have grandchildren and clumsy kids and very clumsy father. Still didn't keep the fizz though. I drink slowly so I always had to put them in the freezer or refrigerator to get them cold again. They always lost their fizz by the time I was done with about half of an 8 oz. bottle. UNTIL..... this awesome invention! I just open a cool can of soda, put the lid on it, and I am able to drink the entire can, without loosing fizz, no matter how many times I put them away to cool. The ONLY things are, once in a while (while unscrewing the black lids, to take a drink) so much fizz has built up that the lid may POP off. Only has happened a couple times out of about a couple hundred times. And the last thing is in regards to taking off the lid..... you must make sure you dump out any remaining cola, replace the black lid, then (over the sink) take the can in one hand and the cap in the other and with a downward motion (like you are breaking a twig) separate the can from the lid. Works every time. Just make sure can is empty AND DO NOT put lid on un-opened can of soda. It is hell trying to get the cap off. It may even break. You know how DVR makes cable worth the price? Well, these caps make soda worth the price. Great investment!

Works as advertised, but two annoying (and one possibly painful) flaw!
After using them for months, I noticed two flaws that made me stop and put them away.First, if the cap isn't super tight, you get this loud squealing sound caused by the carbonation escaping through, which isn't supposed to happen in the first place. The second flaw is caused by solving the first... If your screw the cap on tight enough to seal the carbonation in, you cause there to be a large buildup of pressure. Which, if you're using it on root beer, cola, or other super fizzy drinks, can be rather dangerous! I've had a fair share of tops rocket off of the cans with a loud boom, startling me, and in one case, nearly hitting me in the face!If you use them as a way of keeping bugs out, or for lightly carbonated drinks, then you'll be just fine and they'll serve their purpose well. But for those cola drinkers, I'd avoid out unless you want to have tops shooting about!

It does work but to a certain extent.
I've used one of the tops extensively and this is what I've concluded. The top is hard to put on the soda can, such as pepsi cans, but eventually I was able to put it on without a hitch, it just takes practices. Secondly, the top does holds a decent amount of pressure to prevent the soda from going flat. I can even turn the whole entire can upside down with it spilling one drop of soda. But when it's time to take the top off, it gets tricky. I have to kind of pivot the top off to it's side like if I was pealing a banana at the top end.But eventually it will become unusable because it will no longer hold any pressure and prevent spilling if hold upside down, after 10 to 20 usage. So if you intent to use this as a throwaway, then this might be fine for you if you think the price is right.

Better than flip-top type
Stronger and better seal than colored tops with flip-up caps I tried. These tend to go much longer before they start to leak around the lip of the can, but they will at some point. If you are gentle with removal from cans, they will go a long time before they start dribbling down your hand or shirt. Eventually I think they all will, as this is my second package of this style. I tried the others I mentioned, and you can only get 3-5 uses out of them before you need to start holding the can with a napkin to prevent drips. I didn't even get to use them enough to determine how well the cap works, but I know these screw-on tops make a very tight seal. The easiest way to remove them is to squeeze the can until the top pops off, due to the aluminum deforming. Apparently though, some states ridiculously require cans to be un-crushed or not deformed for recycling. I'm glad California has easier regulations regarding this issue.

Grown Man, No Problems.
I bought these because I keep a lot of soda's around as mixers and don't typically use all the soda in each glass. These are a little difficult to fit onto a can. The only way I've found to fit them is set the can on the counter and push the top directly down on top of it. If you're trying to do it by hand without a hard surface, it's going to be impossible and you're going to get covered in beverage. There, that's the trick. If you're trying to get them off, just squeeze the can and they literally FLY off of the can.I'm a little skeptical as to how well the top actually works. It seems to me that they don't create a very good seal on the screw cap because I've opened up a few other drinks and they've been flat. All in all, good product, worth $4.

These do an outstanding job without leaking; however, they can be extremely difficult to put on the can. They fit much tighter than other soda savers I've used and I crushed several cans when trying to put them on. Tried running them under hot water to make them more flexible to attach, but doesn't work. Even repeated use doesn't make them easier to put on. The only way that works for me is to place the soda can in a coffee mug first, then press the soda saver down into it. Works every time now and doesn't crush the can.

Waited a good bit to review these
Waited a good bit to review these. I skeptical and my wife told me not to purchase them. Wanting a solution to being able to put a can back in the cooler and still have it cold and not spilled in an hour I gave in and purchased these. They work great. They don't leak and being able to put the can back in the cooler is great. Being they don't leak if I forget it's in the lunch box and jump in the truck and go I am not having to go home and wash soda out of my lunchbox. Didn't give 5 stars because they are difficult to get on and off

It does what it is suppose to do.. ...
It does what it is suppose to do....but...the cans are so flimsy sometimes the force put on the can causes it to collapse.

Poor quality copy - not the real deal
These are junk. I bought them thinking I was getting the same ones I was given as a gift. They are very poor copies. The caps don't even properly fit the top they came with! There are also moulding voids in the plastic. As a result of both these issues, these tops cannot seal and therefore cannot maintain the fizz in the beverage.

Pratiques et jolis
Tient bien sur les cannettes, bouchon étanche et facile à ouvrir. Se lave bien mais peut se déformer au lave-vaisselle. Belles couleurs vives.

Do not buy
These things don't fit cans. The are nearly impossible to install without crushing your can. Don't bother.
