We were tired of having our equipment generate dust and we having to use dust masks when using our wood-shop electric cutting tools. So, we checked the internet and found the Delmar Tools Low Profile Dust Separator. It really works and has made our lives safer and general cleanup easier. We used this separator to build our PVC pipe dust collecting system as the instructions indicated and have been highly pleased with the results. We highly recommend this dust separator as it's easy to assemble to a 5 gallon pail with attached vacuum cleaner; it will make your life safer and cleanup of your shop, a zip.

In my small wood shop, I needed to continuously clean the filter in my shop vac. I lathe a lot and the dust and shavings would clog the filter faster than a meal from a questionable eatery would run through your digestive tract. Use is simplicity in itself. All that is needed when you purchase is a 5 gallon bucket that you get at hardware stores for paint and such. Simply place the dust collector on the bucket, attach the hoses and that's it. The hose size matches my vacuum perfectly. Please verify what size hose your vacuum has prior to ordering in the event you possibly need an adapter. Pros: Easy to use Works great (barely anything makes it to the vacuum to clog up the filter) Low cost Cons: Very light. (easily gets dragged out of position when you try to move the hose from one machine to another) Plastic construction could fail fairly easily if misused. (hose got blocked a few times and I am surprised the unit did not crack from the sounds it made trying to compress itself onto the bucket) Can't seem to get it to snap all the way on the bucket. (This could be due to the bucket itself but it has not caused any operational issues.) In the end, I would recommend to small shop owners on a budget. It will help keep your shop vac cleaner and suction will not be impaired by a clogged filter. I could see this possibly being used when performing other shop vac functions as well.

This works like a charm. I priced out other ones from the big stores. This was a great price. It was easy to assemble. The storage capacity on a 5 gallon bucket is perfect. It really collects the dust great. Please watch attached video. I have a wide joint connected to my miter saw and table saw. It is perfect. I actually made the Y joint because they're very expensive. UPDATE: The only minor issue is that the lid can come off occasionally if the bucket gets bumped or moved, but it’s not a big deal and doesn’t affect performance. Tip: Make sure the lid is fully seated before starting your vacuum for the best seal. Overall, it’s efficient, simple to use, and a big help for keeping the shop cleaner.

I got this for my husband and his small shop. What an amazing idea this is! It takes the dust away and it is low profile. It does an excellent job, he loves it.

I purchased this separator as the previous dust deputy broke after 3 years of being exposed to the Arizona heat, it dry rotted. I ordered this one because it was fast, convenient, and I needed to finish a project. I got it and installed it on the can and the tab that holds onto the can broke off. I was really dissapointed and chose to return the item. The issue is that even if you manage to delicately install it on the 5 gallon bucket, it will eventually have to be removed and re-installed to empty the bucket of debris and dust. In doing this repeated operation, it is highly likely that the brittle plastic will break as well. I would not recommend this at all and buyer beware. It is a very nice and tempting offer, especially if it comes with the elbows and the extra suction hose. I wish it would have worked for at least 3 years like the other dust deputy did. I dont have an expectation of lifetime warranty as I know it will eventually turn brittle in the hot Arizona dessert but at least let me get some of my moneys worth.

It works freakishly awesome. And its price is half of other small bucket separators. HoboFreight wants 45 for their cyclone adapter that’s wobbly and you have to build. DustT***er wants 50. This Delmar cap, hose adapters and gaskets work great for a small wood shop and saves on filters. About 90+ of chips, rough sawdust and fine sawdust is caught. Highly recommended!!

This thing is prone to breaking, apparently in multiple weak points. The pic below occurred the third time I tried to attach it to a bucket for use. The prior two times, it worked, and I was able to dump almost all the dust and debris that I had sucked up outside in the trash, by just popping a lid on the bucket and taking it out. Previously it would have just sat around inside the vacuum, possibly for months. Some design features would make it work even better, but as is it's a major improvement from directing suction straight into the vacuum bag. The cheap + convenience combo is still enough for me to get a replacement instead of a refund, but before I use it next time I am going to have to apparently reinforce the entire thing. My break might have survived had I put a band of tape around it before first use -- it is suppose to slightly, gently but firmly snap on, but the plastic is too thin or too brittle to long survive the flexation. So this is what I am trying for the replacement, also pictured. We will see if it holds up to multiple uses.

Tuyau noir pour rejoindre l'aspirateur est un peu court, dans le genre très limite pour fonctionner. Prévoir en acheter un autre pour être utilisé avec un 5 gallons. Moi j'ai une demi chaudière de 2.5 gallons et ça faite de justesse.

El producto funciona muy bien, se acopla perfecto a cualquier cubeta de 20 lts, el único pero es que su construcción no es muy robusta, se siente un tanto frágil, pero solo con tener un poco de cuidado al montarla y desmontarla de la cuneta, creo que durará un buen tiempo. Su funcionamiento en mi taller de carpintería es muy bueno, ha logrado mantener el filtro de mi Shop Vac, prácticamente como nuevo

Es muy simple de utilizar y de armar, solo ocupas una cubeta de 5 galones (una que tengas de pintura preferentemente ya que están mas gruesas y aguantan mas la presión de la aspiradora que las de la tienda naranja), conectas la manguera que viene incluida a la aspiradora y la manguera de la aspiradora al conector lateral de la tapa y de ahí a tu sierra, lijadora, etc. Como pueden ver en las fotos separa prácticamente todo el aserrín, solo pasa a la aspiradora el polvo muy fino, que en el caso de mi aspiradora el filtro es lavable, pero si ven el fondo de esta, esta casi limpio. Les recomiendo que compren la tapa que incluye la manguera y el codo de 90°, no es mucha diferencia de precio y es de buena calidad, esta manguera es de 2.5 " y conecta muy bien con la entrada a la aspiradora.
