See Pip Point: Ready-to-Read Pre-Level 1 (The Adventures of Otto)

This is the first book we found at the library that I felt confident enough to help my son read. He loved it so much that we read it over and over. He knows this one almost by heart and adores reading it. We got the whole collection of The Adventures of Otto because of this book! He loves them because it is the sight words and other easy words. This book has given him more confidence in himself to read more and try to read because there aren't so many words he has to figure out. It is repetitive words, sight words and just easy all around words. Add that to the fun of the story and it is fantastic.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this book because it is at or near guided reading level E for students in my classroom.There are many sight words but other words students would have to have some first grade phonics knowledge to decode (examples: point, hurry, ground).

This series is great for the beginning reader. The characters are sweet and quirky, and the repetition isn’t boring. There’s a natural cadence to the repeating lines, and often humor. We own most of the books and my twin boys (kindergarten) have loved them for over a year now.

What a fun first reading book! The words are simple enough for beginning readers, but the events are fun and unexpected. My son and I laughed hard the first time we read it and still do after many many more reads.

As Pip floats away on a balloon Otto springs into action. This is a perfect pre level one reader to pique the interest of young children. We love it.

My kids love all of the Otto books. Easy to read for truly beginning readers. Much along the lines of Dick and Jane, with humor.

This is a good book for a very early reader. My grandson loved it. It has controlled vocabulary and a fun story.

Es muy básico. Tiene pocas palabras , pero es muy bonito.
