I LOVE this PSU!!!
My first PSU arrived not working properly (JESVERTY branded). This NANKADF 5A PSU was it's replacement.I'm new to these bench PSUs, and already appreciate the awesomeness of this unit! The front facing power switch, as well as output button is a MUST.I avoided this push button style for the first PSU, and HATED the course and fine 2 knob system for voltage as well as current. This single button design for each is very simple, responsive, and the next higher value digit rolls over when rolling up past 9 or down past 0, making it VERY intuitive. The 3 memory settings are another MUST have if ever working with more than 1 standard voltage. Mine are set for 3.3, 4,2 and 5.1v. Awesome that the current limit gets stored with the voltage. No idea about fan noise because it hasn't come on yet after hours of use. The manual states it only comes on when needed, so I'm grateful I didn't choose a unit that the fan is on full time (from reviews of other units, it sounds annoying). The manual is worth reading, and describes the functions and use much better than the one I returned. The only tick against this unit is it came with the AC switch on the back set for 230V, rather than 115V for the country of purchase. Reading the manual first, it emphasized checking this before first use to prevent PSU damage. So another thumbs up for well written manual.I strongly recommend this PSU to others starting out as I am. But boost the bucks for the 10A version, because this is such a good (and pleasure to use) unit, it would be a shame to outgrow it's current limit without needing additional functions.

Perfect for what I need
Great for testing radios and similar DC audio devices. Functionally perfect and well-designed and aesthetically pleasing. The green display is so much nicer than the standard red displays. My only change would be to be able to quiet the beeping when changing volt and amp settings, seems a little annoying. One thing to keep in mind before using the unit is to switch the input voltage in the back of the unit to 115V. For some reason it is set to the higher, foreign setting when you take it out of the box. This unit is far better than the inexpensive ones you can find out there. Spend a few bucks more and get a better unit like this one. I had a cheaper one that I returned that caused static on my radio testing and also emitted a high whine/pitch from within the unit. Overall, this is a great unit for most electronic DC requirements, 30V and 10A. For my purposes with old car radios I can set the volts at 13.75 and the amps at 5A, even though the radios only pull less than 2 amps. I set 5A as a ceiling to be on the safe side if there is an internal short inside the radio. Another good feature is being able to store multiple volt/amp settings for other types of requirements. I am extremely happy with my purchase, no regrets.

Works great
I like all the features. Better than the one I bought a couple years ago, it was a different manufacture and no presets.

Easy to read, easy to adjust
Very nice power supply. I bought 2 of them over 2 years ago for my home lab. Still working well. I don't use the USB charger or programmable features. I do use the 3 memory buttons on the front panel. Very convenient setting my frequently used voltages. The metal casing is like added bonus. The voltage reading seems accurate. The current is not accurate when at low values which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I had an ammeter set-up and measuring 9.3mA but the power supply display shows 4mA. Would be nice if it was more accurate.Overall, happy with the product. Didn't see any electrical noise issues and very reliable. Using for over 2 years and still working well.

Programmable ? No it’s NOT.
For what it is, it’s fine and I don’t want to trash it. It’s a easy to use 10A x 30V DC controlled power supply and it works fine, BUT. It’s labeled as programmable and there are numerous references to the USB interface and PC software in the manual BUT it does not exist ! Customer support does not respond. There does not appear to be any USB interface module and the link to the software leads nowhere. I went as far as translating web pages from the Chinese parent company (Wanptek) and got nowhere. Really ! Why advertise a key feature that can’t be used ? As a stand alone power supply it’s fine but overpriced.I didn’t realize until after I started looking into this but nearly all of the Amazon reviews for this unit are Vine Voice. I’m sure they all mean well, but unfortunately there is a big difference between someone who actually needs something for a specific purpose and buys it with there own money compared to a review from someone who gets a “free-be” to evaluate. Overcoming a subconscious bias is very hard.Well anyway, you are paying about a 20% premium for documented and labeled features that do not exist and zero customer support. At a lower price point and / or lower expectations, it’s a nice little power supply.
