Super sturdy umbrella!! Stayed in the ground during a thunderstorm, nothing got blown away and we are talking crazy winds! Probably not 50 UV rated because the baby was under it the entire time and got a little red, plus you can kind of see through the flaps of material. I have a true 50+ personal sun umbrella and that one doesn't let any light through. But, it did keep the direct sun away and It was much cooler then if I was directly out in the sun. Looks super cute and is easy to find due to the bright colors. Super easy to put together and put away.

I think I bought this one because it was voted best by Forbes. I saw some negative reviews but, overall this seemed best for the money and sturdiness. BOY, AM I GLAD! Very light and easy to tote, as well. First, I've never used umbrellas on the beach, mostly because growing up in Florida I opted for less sand, more pool. So, deciding to spend a day on the beach and not be miserable, shade is where it's at! This umbrella provided plenty of shade for two people! I saw other smaller umbrellas and they all just looked pitiful and useless. So flimsy and cheap. Second, of course, I picked one of the more windy days at the beach, it was blowing around 9-11 mph in Cocoa Beach. There were so many people around me fighting with these little sand bag tie down sail shades! It was comedic. And those shades only provided maybe four square feet of shade! Then the other people with inferior umbrellas were having their umbrella ribs collapse under the strain or be turned inside out! I sat there and watched group after group finally give up and leave. All while I sat comfortably under my sturdy, wide, shade giving umbrella. The only other umbrellas that didn't move besides mine, were the paid ones offered by the beach service. Finally, the temperature difference under my umbrella was amazing! Coupled with the breeze, I was having a wonderful day! So many people came and went with just a towel. They couldn't handle the 97 degree Florida sunshine! I spent the whole day in comfort! Definitely recommend. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this one is a winner.

These work freaking great they actually come apart with big screws. I put the big screw holders in the ground under my picnic table and am able to remove the umbrella from the stand every night without pulling it through the table. They are also well sewn and lined with a metallic fabric on the underside.

***UPDATE- it’s been a year & this umbrella is still amazing. Keeps us cool from the sun 🌞. Don’t forget to use a marker to mark the line where you need to have pole in the ground. Do that when you receive your item so when you are in the blinding sun on the beach (yes it’s very bright to see) you will know exactly how far to get it in the ground. Helped us tremendously. END OF UPDATE*** Not heavy to carry & easy to slip in/out of bag. Please read the directions unlike my husband and myself. Our whole umbrella went flying across the beach because this was our first day using it and the winds were very high. I will call this the test period. Haha! Luckily, nothing got bent out of shape and no one got hurt. However, we then realized we put the umbrella together, thinking we knew how to do it without the directions, but the truth is you can’t see it on the white screw and piece that goes directly into the sand, but it has to go pretty far deep in there there because there is a line Just under the little twisty knob that tightens it. If you don’t put it in deep where the line is, it will fly out of the sand hole. Also, we wound up, angling the tilt part of the umbrella to keep it safe from getting bent. I saw several umbrellas out on the beach and several of them were flipping completely inside out. This one stayed strong. Also, I will mention the fact that this one has UV protectant shield that’s built in helps tremendously for staying cool in this heat. Now that I know how to use it properly I’m really enjoying it.

I like how this is now bundled with a sand stake, which it should be. This is just the right size for one with generous shade and two with just enough. This umbrella is well made but certainly not indestructible, like most they don't tolerate high winds and are vulnerable with the plastic pivot point . For general use on hot sunny days, this umbrella is a good value, decent quality and looks great. Of course you will be using the included bag every time.

Hands down one of the best umbrella purchases we’ve ever made. It’s big, vibrant and kids on the beach all wanted one. It’s a pretty umbrella and the best part is the built in hand screw tool to help you anchor the pole deeply. Great product.

Easy to use good material. Didn’t blow away on the beach

Initially I was skeptical of this beach umbrella. I've seen far too many umbrellas go blowing down the beach and I didn't really have any confidence in this one when I purchased it, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've used it for 3 beach trips now (Myrtle and Ocean Isle) and its held up in the wind several days in a row with no issues. I didn't measure the wind speeds, but there were a handful of days that the wind was really whipping down the coast and the umbrella held up like a champ! The base with the screw is easy to install and the carrying bag holds all the pieces and parts. Its a good size to fit 2 chairs under, but you'll probably have to move the chairs around to stay in the shade if you're out on the beach for very long. I get sunburnt pretty easily, and while I did get some sun/tan (not sure if it was through the umbrella or bouncing up from the sand/water), this guy kept me cool, comfortable, and safe from the UV rays. Overall would absolutely buy again and recommend to any family/friends!
