As a retired nurse, recently injured, I found myself looking for a raised toilet seat, which I’d advised my patients to get for help with pain relief over the years. I’m so glad I decided on the Kohler Hyten model. The hardest part was removing the old seat with frozen screws. My husband ended up sawing them off! 😳 The Kohler seat is beautifully engineered with quality components and is easy to place. It’s stable and firm for safety. I love the release button to easily remove the seat for cleaning, and the soft- close feature. But mostly it’s amazing how 3” in height can relieve so much pain in seating and rising! We’ve paired it with the Luxe Bidet 186 Plus, and it went in nicely. These seats are so handsome, durable and functional we’re putting them in our home’s 4 baths. You don’t have to be handicapped to appreciate them! Try one, I think you’ll agree!

I can’t speak to other toilet brands but we have Kohler toilets, which are good quality fixtures. However, I’m 6’2” and I feel like I’m sitting on the floor when I use it. I saw this Kohler seat and decided to take a chance. IT’S PERFECT. Perfect fit. Perfect color match. Perfect added height. Very comfortable and it looks like it was an original part of the toilet. After removing the original seat and thoroughly cleaning surfaces we couldn’t reach while the original seat was installed, it took about five minutes to install the new seat. Ten minutes if you include unboxing and reading instructions (simple and clear). The icing on this cake is that it has a single button that you press to remove the seat and it takes five seconds to reinstall it with a click. This makes thorough cleaning quick and easy. My wife and I are both super happy with it, especially since we were seriously intending to replace all four of our toilets to get higher ones. This is a good buy. Try it. You won’t be sorry.

This Kohler Hyten 3"Toilet Seat is worth 6 stars. I have Toto "Comfort Height"(formerly known as ADA compliant) toilets throughout my house that we had installed when we bought the home in 2018. I have had back issues for years and always thought that a seat maybe an inch or two higher would help me but never acted. I did have this Kohler seat in my wish list and when I was scheduled for a major back surgery I decided to buy it; one of the best decisions of my life. I removed my Toto seat and installed the Kohler in under 10 minutes as others have said was their experience, It really was very easy and the seat is attached securely. It fits great, is rock stable, feels high quality and matches the white toilet color perfectly. Getting on and off the toilet is easy and painfree. All our Toto seats are soft close seats as is this Kohler seat. The texture is slip resistant and component parts have a great thickness and feel solid. Good value, easy to install, high quality and improving my recovery from surgery. I will keep it on even after I fully recover as this seat is terrific.

Similar to others, I was considering having new taller toilets installed in my home. And I still might because the newer models use less water. However, I needed a solution right away because of a hip injury and found the Hyten by Kohler. Such a blessing this product is. I have Kohler toilets now, and the seat fits perfectly on the bowl and through the mounting holes. It is very, very easy to install. The seat and lid are thick and sturdy. I bought three, mine are white. They make sitting and rising so much easier, I feel a lot safer and experience far less pain. I read some reviews complaining that it slides around some. Well which toilet seat doesn’t after a time? It is very easy to remove the seat and retighten the mounting rods if needed. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing a higher seat.

This seat is great. Fit as expected, and the boost in height is really great. The best part is how easy it is to attach compared to other cheap seats I've used; this baby isn't going anywhere, very smart and easy to secure mechanism. My only real complaint is, I fear, an issue inherent to the product design. I'm a big guy, and the extra height of this seat, being as sturdy as it is, sort of requires a reduction in overall useable area of the seat. Basically, the opening on this seat is an inch or two narrower than the prior flimsy seat I was using. For many people, this probably wont be a sticking point, but if you're a particularly large person, you may want to consider a different seat. Just gives me a bit less room to wipe, know what I mean? If that's never even been an issue you've considered in your life, count yourself lucky.

I balked at the price, as some extra-height toilet seats are significantly less cost. BUT I am glad we chose HYTEN by Kohler, for several reasons: 1. Everything Kohler makes is beautifully designed and does what you believe it should, in the way that it is promised (this based on 60+ years of remodeling experience). 2. Soft close lid is excellent, says "quality" and works perfectly. 3. Material is far superior to lesser-priced competitors. 4. Installation took, literally, just a couple of minutes. And there are instructions here, right on Amazon, to help you realize how incredibly easy it is. In fact, it took longer to remove the OLD toilet seat than it did to accomplish a flawless installation of this Kohler brand seat. 5. Color options are very helpful if you want a professional looking bathroom. White, biscuit, almond, a couple of different grey ones (prices usually vary by color and seller). 6. And TOTO too. I believe this ROUND one I purchased will also fit TOTO round toilet. Bolt span is five and a half inches (5.5 inches), which is pretty standard in the world of good, professional toilets. INSTALLATION TIP: watch the installation video FIRST to avoid gnashing your teeth and cursing loudly in a bathroom, which tends to echo. It really IS easy.

My husband had a hip replacement in May, and found that our 'comfort height' toilet needed no modifications other than the assist bars that are shown in the last photo. However, this week he had the first of his knee replacement surgeries, and his first try at sitting on the toilet was impossible. The seat was just too low. Local shops only stocked the blow-molded plastic toilet toppers that clamp onto the existing toilet base, requiring the existing seat to either remain up all the time (nope, close seat before flushing!!), or to be removed and attached to the seat riser. Aesthetically, they look less than attractive, reminding one of a hospital or nursing home. Not only thst, but reviews are mixed, with many users reporting that they shift and slide under the body's weight and movement, and can even come unlatched completely. This any acceptable for anyone, but especially for someone with new joint replacements for whom safety and proper joint alignment while moving is essential. It was by reading one of these products' reviews where I came across a written account of another person's experience with one of those cheap plastic risers, and he mentioned going with the Kohler Hyten seat. I found the product, and was immediately impressed. Ordered it for one-day delivery. When it came today, I grabbed my phillips screwdriver and got to work. Our existing toilet seat was a Kohler, and so was delighted to find that the silicone/stainless top-mount anchors are the same for both seats! All I had to do was remove the screws and old seat, and install the new seat's mounting plates snugly in place. Snap on the covers, and the seat was installed! Took me no more than ten minutes. It installs completely from the top. Fits our elongated toilet perfectly, and looks clean and very modern. The seat is smooth and comfortable, and even though I don't need the extra height myself at 5'4", it's not too high for me to use easily. The material is the same as our regular Kohler toilet seat - smooth, hygienic, and comfortably contoured. It even has a soft-close hinge, which I consider essential. Kohler thought of everything with this one. Hubby has been napping, and I'm sure he will be surprised - and happy - too see this seat in place for his added comfort while recovering from his knee replacement. I do not anticipate needing to remove this seat after he's completely mobile again (the second knee will be replaced in about 6 weeks) because it looks so nice, but if I would decide to do so, I know that it will be extremely easy. I highly recommend this product as a much better option for anyone needing a taller toilet seat, whether you're just very tall or you need it for home convalescence.

Just received this yesterday for my husband who needed a higher toilet at 85. The height is perfect and it fit our Toto elongated toilet perfectly. And what is said about ease of installation; I am an 83 year old woman who viewed the video; read the instructions and popped it in in about 15 minutes-easy! It is easy close, so no banging. Just by pushing a button, it is removed for cleaning in the shower. All in all, perfect, thank you Kohler for such attention to detail.

Great product. Now I can get up easily from the toilet seat with two bad knees. Should have purchased years ago. Better height for older people.

Love love it. When I first put the toilet seat on and sized it up for measurement I said to myself oh my God I have to send it back. Do not pack it up and send it back before you read the instructions fully and you look at which way the hinges go and you press the button on the seat like it says. At first it looks like when it was locked into place that it was stuck 3 in up in the air and that the seat would not come down and level and sit on the seat that the hinges were keeping it stuck up of the air 3 in. and then once I read the instructions and tried it again there was some give to it and everything started working properly and it fit. they are little stiff to work with until you realize how it's supposed to assemble. You've already measured and no it's supposed to fit so it will. Be patient don't pack it up yet try try again. My toilet measures from the middle of the holes to the front 18 and a half inches. The width from edge to edge is 14 in. The screw head sits in on the bottom of the slot towards closest to you as far as it would go so it just made for fitting into the bracket. The French is almost perfectly to the edge of the bowl just barely. It could have used a couple fractions more to the edge but it's still excellent. It's not perfectly flush to the edge but it looks good, and sits very well. I'm 5'3 but I always wear slippers which brings me to the height of 5'4 and my feet still don't touch the floor just half of the front of my foot but nowhere near flat to the floor. I wasn't taken into consideration of sitting up back on the seat I should have realized my computer chair being at the highest setting of 21 in and being perfect for me that 3 in would be little too tall 2 in maximum is what I should have bought but this does not come in 2 in that I know of. the comfort and the soft clothes lid and the looks of it make it worthwhile my company will enjoy the comfort because they're all at least a few inches taller than me. if this had sold in a 2 inch I would buy another and give this one away but it still far superior more comfortable than the regular toilet seat which my knee was clicking three times every time I sat down on my toilet never on my computer chair being the proper height but always on my toilet now I have no clicking at all. I have shot cartridges. I knew I better get on this again and buy a toilet riser like I had before. though it was one of those cheap cramp on ones. when I moved I got rid of it and said next time I will get one that is permanent. so just when you think you need more than 2 in if you're 5'3 or 5'4 do not go more than 2 in toilet riser, if you want your feet to touch the floor fully and not just your toes. if you're one that likes to sit on the toilet and read or be on your cell phone your feet might start to go numb. I should have only got a 2 inch one. but that's okay this seems to be the only one that is quality for my money and it is soft close and that works perfectly on its own just as it should and it looks exactly like the pictures. It is not like a cheap toilet seat at all, but it is not expensive quality. I think a fair price for it would be $89.99 even though it does have the awesome soft clothes that works so well. I would have said the values 79.99 but comparing it to the other ones of lesser quality with no soft clothes lid I had to say a fair price would be $89.99 in today's world. but if you must and you're tired of shopping and you don't want to wait for prices to come down this is the toilet seat pretty good comfort took me 5 minutes to install after I realized what I was doing wrong that made it look like the seat wouldn't come down and was stuck up in the air 3 in. I was so happy that I did not have to send it back. the problem was me not that it was going to be a few inches too short. it is so nice to slide on and slide off my toilet and not have my knee click three times upon bending down. I need it to get on top of this pronto to save the life of my knee longer and not cripple me in the future. I don't know if I mentioned this in my book here or not I do have shot cartilages and I've had shot cartridges for 30 years from doing a repetitious job my knees bending too much. I'm 70 now. it is important to take the pressure off your knees the toilet is just as important as a mattress or shoes comfort.
