The Behring Made Alaskan is hand forged from 3/16" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it's as rugged as the unforgiving backcountry for which it's named. The blade measures 4 1/4" from tip to guard with a hollow grind and a hammermark finish as well as a deep finger choil allowing a choked up grip on the blade when the work gets close and techincal, leaving you with a razor sharp 3 1/4" cutting edge. The copper guard is silver-soldered in place above black and maroon fiber, green micarta and copper spacers. The handle is premium hand selected sambar stag that's pinned through the tang with copper, and the overall length measures 8 3/4".
