Simply the best!
I was working on a watercolor portrait where the model had on layers of ruffles and frills in eyelet. So this applicator was fine enough to draw the pattern in the masking fluid, let it dry for two weeks while I worked on the rest of the painting and then it lifted off with just a slight tug. I've used it before and will continue to use this best of all masking fluids. If you want a finer line, use a toothpick or even a straight pin.

Great product
This is great masking fluid. Just took a few tries to get used to how to control the flow. Really glad I ordered it.

Solid product!
Works as it should. Very fine line. Comes off easily.

Dried out
When I opened the bottle, a dried, spongy plug of product was stuck to the cap and came out. The rest of the bottle was also dried out. Tried to get some product out with handle of a thin paintbrush. Nope. Couldn't use at all.

Conceptually brilliant, but too much trouble in real life
I like the IDEA of the masking fluid, and the technique was explained in a book. However, when I actually went to use it, it was ok but no way could I get that cap back on. The product itself was difficult to remove if I left it on the painting for more than two days, so definitely remove it the next day. If there was any other kind of cap, I would recommend it, but each time it was applied I had to ask a family member to replace the cap for me. Whoever has really good vision, ask them. Good luck.

Great for covering small details
I bought this to use on my watercolor paintings-- it helps me cover up smaller details and come back to them later. The fluid comes out smoothly, the applicator tip is a great size for covering even the smallest details, and the fluid dries quickly (great for impatient artists such as myself!).The bottle is small, but you can always buy bottles of masking fluid at a craft store and fill this one back up.

My favorite! I've been using it for about 8 years
My favorite! I've been using it for about 8 years. I won't use another masking fluid. Once I got a bad batch from a seller...must have been old. It smelled weird and didn't work like normal. I called the maker and he took care of it right away. Very nice guy, great product and good customer service. In the 8 years I"ve used it I only had the one issue.

Not great for fine details
If you plan on covering large areas with this stuff, it works fine. Takes a while to dry. Doesn't behave too well along fine lines or sharp edges. I'd go for W&N for that. The best part is the blue tint, because it makes it easier to see on the paper.
