Review: Perfect for Road Trips - A Must-Have for Extra Luggage Space - I recently took the Marretoo Car Roof Bag on a long road trip, and I have to say, it made the journey so much easier! We were heading off for a week-long camping trip and needed extra space for all our gear. This roof bag provided 21 cubic feet of storage, which was more than enough to fit everything we needed without overcrowding the car. I was able to pack up camping chairs, a tent, sleeping bags, and more—essentially everything we needed for the trip—and still had room to spare. One of the things I really appreciated was how well the bag performed in less-than-ideal weather. It rained during part of our trip, but the bag kept everything dry and secure. The material feels tough and durable, and the zippers were easy to operate, even with gloves on. The anti-slip mat that came with it was also super helpful in keeping the bag stable on the roof, preventing any movement while driving. I also found the installation to be surprisingly easy. We have a roof rack, and it took just a few minutes to strap the bag down securely. It stayed in place the whole trip without any shifting, and I didn’t have to worry about it at all. When we weren’t using it, the bag folds up neatly, making storage a breeze, which was a bonus. However, I did notice one small thing—because the bag is on the larger side, it can look a bit bulky when it’s not fully packed. If you only have a few things to carry, it might seem a little excessive. Also, if you’re loading it onto a higher car, you might need a little extra reach to get it securely placed, but once it’s on, it’s all good. In all, I’m really happy with the Marretoo Car Roof Bag. It made our trip so much smoother by freeing up space inside the car, and knowing everything was protected from the weather was a huge relief. If you’re looking for a way to bring extra luggage along on a road trip or vacation, I highly recommend this bag. It’s durable, waterproof, and super easy to use! Review: Fantastic bit of kit - So i planned the holiday was 300 miles away from home I had a sneaky feeling the luggage tent ect wasn’t going to fit. I was absolutely correct after a lot of research I came across this bag I didn’t have roof bars so it seemed perfect. I can tell you now I have done over 600 miles with this roof bag on and it did not move an inch. It stayed still and sturdy on the motorways. It is really good quality and brilliant value for money. We did have some rain but it seemed to keep everything dry. Really straight forward to put on. We managed to get so much in there and now won’t be going camping without it. I highly recommend. ## Features - 【840D WATEARPROOF MATERIAL】 Made with Heavy-Duty 840D abrasion-resistant tearproof PVC fabric，This 840D PVC fabric material is 1 to 2times stronger than 700D PVC fabric, which most other rooftop bags adopts and can easily rip，This ultra-durable car roof cargo carrier can easily cope with all kinds of bad weather and long-distance travel - 【SUPER WATERPROOF DESIGN】 Made of 100% waterproof material, the waterproof effect of our vehicle cargo carriers will exceed your expectations. Ordered the large version, which just about fit on the roof of my Seat Leon, for maximum space. 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog in the car, EVERYTHING had to go in this bag. And it did. 1 large suitcase, 2 holdalls, a pram, and 4 large bag for life's full of clothes, baby toys, shoes, and towels. Probably could have squeezed a bit more in if needed. With no roof bars I was relying on the hooks for fitting and, while nervous initially, they worked exceptionally well. With the bag fitted and loaded I took it for a test run, putting it through more abuse than i'd ever given it with the family in the car. I was actively trying to make it budge and it didn't. I also gave the car, specifically the points the hooks attached a soak with the hose, seeing how much water the break in the weatherstrip would let in. None whatsoever. So we set off. 300 miles of motorway speeds didn't phase it. It clung on tight. Arriving at our destination everything was safe and dry (we had some heavy showers on the way) and nothing had moved in the bag. A win all round. The only thing a roof box that this doesn't is convenience. Getting in and out of it can be a bit of a chore, having to undo multiple straps to open it up enough for access. Something I hadn't considered until the first time I needed to get the pram out. The cost far outweighs this minor inconvenience though, at least for me. All in all I'm extremely happy with this roof bag and it will be getting a few more uses this year. Perfect for freeing up space in the car on a long drive, not so perfect if you're loading it with stuff you'll need to access regularly. I'd definitely recommend it as an alternative to a roof box, especially if you just need something to get luggage or large items from A to B. It does come with a bag to folad back into for storage, I haven't tried, it's just been loosely folded and put in a corner of the shed ready for next time. ## Frequently Bought Together - Marretoo Car Roof Bag, 21 Cubic Feet Large Roofing Cargo Carrier Bags Waterproof Soft Rooftop Luggage Storage Box for Any Cars with Roof Rack/Rails/Bars, includes Anti-Slip Mat - Bison Gear Premium Tie Down Straps - Car Roof Rack Straps for Surfboard Kayak or Cargo Lashing, 16ft 5m Long, 1in 25mm Wide, Heavy Duty Cam Straps with Buckle (4 Pack, Black) - Car Door Step Up Car Doorstep Folding Ladder U Shaped Pedal With Safety Hammer Function Car Accessories Easy Access To Rooftop For Car For Suv Rv Off-road Vehicle with 8 Car Rear Seat Hook --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/406125566-car-roof-bag-21-cubic-feet-large-roofing-cargo-carrier](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/406125566-car-roof-bag-21-cubic-feet-large-roofing-cargo-carrier) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
