Review: This book series is incredible revamped my whole business set up from banking to daily operations and its made a huge difference. Review: If you're a business management student - YOU NEED TO READ THIS! If you're a business consultant - YOU NEED TO READ THIS! If you're a business lecturer/tutor - YOU NEED TO READ THIS, but most of all, if you've started or about to start a new business, - THIS IS THE 'MUST HAVE' MENTORSHIP you cannot afford to miss out on. Mike's an original thinker and his experience-based, humourous but 'razor sharp' focus on all that's needed to 'MAKE YOU THINK' (and let's face it who does that these days?) really has no substitute. This book was a great read on a first read-through, and an even better read on the second. Go on, be kind to yourself and inspire your dream of self-realisation! I cannot recommend this book highly enough and as a management tutor and consultant with over twenty years of business reading behind me believe me, I know what I'm talking about. Read this book...then PASS IT ON TO OTHERS! Invest in 'The Toiletpaper Entrepreneur' today....it's wonderfully crafted.

QUITE SIMPLY THIS BOOK ROCKS. -I have currently bought 3 copies of this book for me and my friends. Everyone loved it! I have, and will continue to follow Mike Michalowicz's advice and purchase his products. I'm on my way to starting my own business and using the principles in this book I found my passion and now I'm taking action. I advise anyone who is starting a business to read this book. -I'm not a journalist, or an English major and I apologize for any bad writing, but I am honest. The proof is in the pudding and in my humble opinion, this book is worth every penny.I stumbled across and purchased it purely because the name intrigued me and now I'm totally hooked on anything Mike Michalowicz has to offer. Clearly this book has been written by someone who has been there and done it. It's frank, to the point, with no B.S. `Love it!' The book has four parts: -Part one of the book talks about some home truths that may have been holding you back, limiting beliefs and how to get past them. This is a subject that many authors talk about, but how many of us can honestly say we're positive %100 of the time... be honest? Probably very view. We all need reminding that most of the time we just need to get out of our own way. -Part two guides you on how to stay focused by writing down values that resonate with you. These values are the spine of your business. They are referred to as Immutable Laws and by building your business round them you will be happy and always inspired to work. -Important Note: If you are looking for a get rich quick guide stop reading now. This book is NOT for you. This book has some great tips and advice on how to build a business you are passionate about and will be able to sustain for the long haul. This is Not a book about short cuts, or unsubstantiated claims of how to turn a $100 into $100,000 with just a click of a button. If that's what you are looking for, best of luck to you but this book really won't work for you. -Part three is all about taking action. This, for me, was the best part of the book as it was a area I was having particular trouble with. At the end of each chapter you are given `Action Steps' which will help you use the advice from the chapter. You will get some great strategies for success from this book, but like it says on page 35: without action "it's all concepts and no application." This section of the book will get you hustling. -The final part of the book is about money and equity and has tips from `HOW TO GET FREE PRESS' to `LIVING RENT FREE.' Personally, I loved the PFA system, Profit First Accounting. Mike explained how to use this technique to help you get your business working for you, and not you working for your business... Very cool. Conclusion -If you're looking for a book that will put a smile on your face, give you a motivational kick in the ass, some new ideas and ninja tricks to help you WORK your way to success... then give this book a whirl. P.S. If your still not convinced, check out Mick Michalowicz blog at [...] Sign up for his newsletter and see how much valuable advice he gives. I'm sure it won't be long before your back on Amazon with this book in your shopping cart.

There is an old saying, "Sh*! or get off the pot!" I would submit that before anyone gets off the porcelain throne, he/she should probably make sure all business is finished. Hopefully, our supplicant has previously analyzed the type of business for the most expedient method of achieving a successful petition. However, when in the presence of the porcelain god, one must have a proper exit plan...stay too short a time and return, possibly having had to visit the laundress, or stay too long thus requiring a visit to a physician to cure a subsequent hemorrhoid. Either outcome is painfully embarrassing to say the least. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur is a lively read, accused by some as being sophomoric, too humorous, and lacking in substance. Those detractors could not be further from the truth. In any business endeavor, in order to sell a product, one must have a customer, thus a target base. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur has a target base of readers who have discovered they MUST get off the proverbial pot if they are to have any chance of success in this very challenging economy. However, when even supposed traditionally recession proof jobs are in danger...and in fact are laying off thousands of employees...people with great ideas don't have time to waste before they hit the ground running, but many of them don't have any idea what to do with their great idea! They have heard that 80% of small businesses fail in the first five years, but they don't know why. In their heart of hearts, they know that they just can't wing it. The TPEr's want to know what the 20% already know; they want to know how their great idea can succeed. These people are ready, willing, and capable of achieving wonderfully successful businesses that can in turn jump start the economy, but they don't have time to go back to school to learn all the technical jargon, etc to begin their work. These people need immediate, relative advice written in a user-friendly language. Ever wonder why sitcoms are so wildly popular? Laughter is the best medicine...especially for unexpected hemorrhoids like recessions, lay-offs, foreclosures, etc. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur can be a quick first read, but a second read is an almost must. At the end of each chapter is a set of action steps designed to help the budding entrepreneur or even a long-time business person evaluate his WHY...why am I doing what I'm doing...for if one can reignite the passion, or in some cases actually discover the driving passion, then there is a recipe for success that does not involve a convoluted, mystifying jumble of highly specific jargon that only the "media darlings", as Michalowicz calls them, can decipher. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur cuts to the chase in regard to small business development by sharing with his audience what the 20% already know...you must know WHO you are in order to know WHAT you are about before you can determine WHERE you are going, and all of that BEFORE you can create the road map to get there! In short, WHY are you doing what you are doing? The TPE inspires business owners to determine who they really are and what they are truly after in order to maximize the time needed to achieve their goals. The tone of TPE is not condescending or judgmental...it is one of camaraderie, of encouragement, of teamwork. The vibe is "we can do this together!" Many, if not all, of the TPE audience feels betrayed by the system, but Michalowicz offers hope by reminding us of our historical origins......we are a nation of resourceful, resilient people who can do anything with a strong will and "just three sheets of paper". 5 stars for the spirit and inspiration found in The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur!

If I had to choose one book out of all others to recommend to someone who wanted to start their own business, it's this one. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur teaches the reader, in simple, easy to understand language, how to plan on profitability from day one. All while using nothing more than three sheets. And by sheets, I'm not talking about business plans, or financial statements, or fictitious break-even analyses, that you use to show a banker how in four-or-five years your business might actually hope to make a profit. These are actual important, living documents that will become a much needed guide as you start your journey. In TPE, Mike tells you how, in no uncertain terms, that for a business to succeed it must be focused, and it must have a clear Area of Innovation. Determining these aspects is just part of the process, which you'll see once you read the book. Mission statements? Vision statements? How many Dilbert strips have we all read mocking the committees that sit around, dreaming them up and trying to force-fit them on the rest of the organization. For me, it was a relief seeing these left out, and in its place was something that really matters. The questions Mike proposes instead go to your deep-seated Why. They help you define your values as a person, and will help you articulate to those around you just what is driving you to create your business and let your own personal passion shine through. For those who aren't ready to start, he dedicates a large portion of the book to helping overcome the objections you either tell yourself or hear from friends, colleagues, family members, etc. Several of those objections I heard echoed in the back of my head. "Yup, that's me." But why? Heck, even Mike was calling me a [expletive] because of just how lame the excuses were! Pro's: - Very engaging! - Incredibly funny - Common sense guide to getting your business going - Will help you budget effectively from day one (no room for waste!) - Emphasizes the often looked over need to preserve personal ownership in your business! - Good tips on how to get things done for cheap or (better) for free! Con's: - Potty humor might keep overly sensitive individuals from receiving his important message So I've already decided: I'm getting started. 2010 is a great year for new things, and right now I'm lucky enough to have the time, support, and resources to get going. I hope you choose to as well. Good luck!
