I rinse my sponge off after use and hang to dry. It has no smell whatsoever. I hope this helps.

Hello.. is this bath sponge scratchy"? dies it breaks ito pieces after few days? I had some in the past, and they would turn into pieces after a week!

The first one started falling in pieces in a few weeks (but not days). It is scratchy for the first 2-3 uses (which I liked) but then it loses that over time
