THIS TEA IS A TREAT!!!
THIS TEA IS A TREAT! I AM REALLY ENJOYING THIS BUTTERFLY BLUE PEA FLOWER TEA! IT'S VERY SMOOTH TO DRINK, 1 TEASPOONFUL IN A TEA BALL, AND ADD HOT NOT BOILING WATER, BREW FOR 5 OR SO MINUTES. NOT A DISTINCT FLOWERY FLAVOR, BUT VERY PLEASANT. I CAN'T ATTEST TO ANY HEALTH BENEFITS, NOT SURE IT HAS CHANGED MY HEALTH, YET? PERHAPS IT NEEDS MORE TIME TO SEE ANY CHANGE! I KNOW THAT ADDING LEMON TO IT CHANGES THE COLOR FROM BLUE TO PURPLE, BUT I HAVEN'T TRIED THAT YET! I FIND IT MAKES AN ENJOYABLE , AFTERNOON CUP OF TEA! TERESA.

Half-Price Kolkata!
I love Kolkata Chai Signature, but I don't love the fact that it costs almost $5 per oz, and when on S&S the max discount is only 10%. VAHDAM Masala Chai (15% discount on S&S) is the closest I have come to Kolkata's specific flavor profile. The taste is nearly identical and the 12oz. bag of this tea is less than half the price per oz vs others. Note that this is NOT organic, but it is a great tea and a far better value for your money.

Great tea!
This is my first time trying this tea and brand. I am a tea drinker, so I have a good idea of what works and what doesn't in teas. Initially, I thought this tea was going to be kind of "in your face" because of the turmeric. Boy, was I wrong. This is a very well blended tea that is smooth and tasty. I will definitely buy again and I will be trying their other teas.

Best chai tea I’ve tasted!
Absolutely the best chai tea I’ve tasted and has the spice I’m looking for, which I often find lacking in most purchased chai teas. It brews a delicious cup and with milk and sweetener (my preference) it beats any tea I’ve ordered. This is definitely my new tea obsession -and just know I have quite a collection of teas.

The tea is wonderful, the flavor profile and blending is excellent
Ok I have been using this tea for about 2 years or so now, have previously used Harney and Sons and Rishi, this tea is significantly more expensive than Harney and like wise less expensive than Rishi. Overall the quality of the tea is excellent, the blending and amount of bergamot oil is just about spot on. It is an absolute necessity to keep the tea leaves properly, the flavor will degrade rather quickly if you do not keep the tea sealed tightly. What we do is vacuum seal about 1/2 the bag and use the open half, however if we made 2 cups side by side with a brand new bag and the tea from the previous batch it becomes very obvious that the tea flavor is not the same. My only problem with this company is that they switched from 16 oz bags to 12 oz bags and the price stayed the same. Which means they raised the price 25% and didn't say anything about it, just repackaged it in a bit of a different way, if your going to do that at least be upfront with your customers, they are in fact the life of your business. Anyway it is an excellent tea and I think you will like it.

Delicious black tea
Good black tea ☕️ . It was vacuum packed + extra zip lock with sticker. Smells great. I like it.

Really nice tea with incredible attention to detail in packaging
Let's start with the packaging: This tea comes vacuum sealed in a nice package that "pops" when you cut the seal. It has a very long neck so that, after you cut it open, you have a nice long top to pour it into the container it's going to stay in. Vahdam has included a thick, dark plastic, zip top bag for you. The bag is folded up inside the cardboard box and unlabeled. But never fear: There is a VERY LARGE full color label that looks just like picture on the box. I peeled this label and applied it to the zip top bag, then poured the pound of tea into it. It seals solidly and is light proof. This is a great addition so the tea will stay fresh for a long time. The taste and smell: Initially I was a little put off by the "flowery" smell of this tea. I have only had a few other Assam teas, so I'm not sure what a very high quality Assam should smell like. This has kind of a sharp note, as opposed to the warm notes I get from Ceylon tea. I initially used about the recommended amount of tea: Approximately 4 grams for 12 to 14 oz of water. The recommendation is 2 grams for 7 oz of water. I use a bigger cup! That cup of tea was flowery at first and then a little bit malty as it cooled. It was fine, but not really what I wanted. For my next cup the following day I used more like 5.5 grams for 12 to 14 oz of water. This cup was very different. Very little flower taste. The malt became much more prominent and increased as the tea cooled. The flower and (very mild) astringency showed up in the after taste. This was a much more satisfying cup of tea for me. I like malt and this muted malt was nice and seemed to keep changing as I drunk it. The last few sips seemed to have a (very mild) chocolate flavor. For me, using a good bit more than the recommended amount of tea is the way to drink it. I like this tea and will be drinking more. So a very nice tasting Assam with the best, most useful, packaging I have ever seen. Recommended!

Updated: Inconsistent along with quality control concern
Original 1 star review below. I am updating my review to 3 in deference to the company's attentive customer service. They investigated the tea via my lot number and noted nothing which appeared "off". They concluded that my issue was based on my particular boxes. They ended up replacing one of them although I had ordered two. The replacement is from a different lot and is noticeably improved though not on par with my very first order. I will order a couple more times in the hope that my original issue does not resurface and that more turmeric presents itself. The tea remains a bit lopsided in flavor profile. --------------------------------- My first order of two boxes had me very excited to continue with this brand. Excellent balance of turmeric and ginger brewed to a lovely orange hue with a hint of sweet and spice. So good. I ordered two more boxes and it got interesting... Brewing from this second order, the first thing I noticed was the "off" aroma - it sat somewhere between "musty" and "worn sock". The second thing I noticed was that there was no orange hue as in the first order - this was a very pale yellow. I took this to mean that this tea was more gingery so I tried it in spite of the smell. It soon upset my stomach and I tossed it. I opened the second bag and after brewing from it noted the same thing though the smell was less musty. I decided to look more closely at the brewed bits and saw that there was a significant amount of brownish ginger along with similarly darker colored turmeric. There was a smaller number of the usual golden ginger and orange turmeric bits. Overall it got me questioning the product. I fear that this company is not properly quality controlling this blend. I wrote to the company expressing my dissatisfaction. Awaiting their feedback. In the meanwhile I unfortunately cannot recommend.
