Safe Thaw Industrial Strength will create a barrier between the ground surface and the ice/snow so that it lifts away to be more easily shoveled. It does not dissolve the ice. Creates good walking traction to avoid slips and falls. You Will still need to shovel away the ice/snow or leave until the air temperature and sun melts it away. disappointed in this product.

I like this product. Living in Minnesota, I have lots of opportunities to use it. It seems to work in lower temperatures than some of the other products I have used. From all appearances, it also seems to accelerate the evaporation of the water residue,

Now that spring is upon us, I am seeing just how much grass this product killed. I've used other pet friendly products over the years that worked well, but they were out of stock this year. I am furious and I am throwing out all of the leftover product. Worked great on the ice and snow but destroyed my grass near sidewalks, driveway and patio. So unhappy!! Now I wonder if it had an negative effect on my dogs that both got ill.

It just didn’t really melt the ice that well compared to other paw friendly melter I’ve used

It was supposed to safe to use on concrete, but it actually did damage to my driveway.

Works well, go with whatever the clear stuff is, though!
