Pillsbury Best of the Bake-Off(r) Cookbook: Recipes from America's Favorite Cooking Contest (Pillsbury Cooking)

I purchased this cookbook for my daughter who is just beginning to cook. This is an excellent cookbook with all the best recipes from the Bake-Off from 1949 until now. The recipes include appetizers, entrees, and desserts and are easy enough for even the beginning cook to understand. There are short paragraphs about the winners, beautiful full page photographs and interesting tidbits about the Bake-Off history. We have tried a few of the recipes, and they are delicious. My daughter is constantly asking if she can cook dinner for us and is anxious to try them all. This is the best cookbook I have ever purchased, and after cooking for over 25 years, I have bought quite a few. This cookbook can be bought for beginning cooks to experienced cooks, and it will be one they all will enjoy.

I love this cookbook. I don't know if every recipe is 2015 healthy--haven't seen any with kale. But, it reminds me of how we used to cook with some 'Pillsbury' shortcuts. I guess I was looking for nostalgia--and I found it here.

Didn't contain THE recipe of my mom's I was looking for, but had many others. Would have preferred winners from the 40s and 50s only.

I have made several recipes from this cookbook, but am particularly fond of the Caribean Chicken Salad. Made this for Easter and it is light, tasty and very spring fresh. It's amazing that these people have won quite a bit of money from their own recipes. This book is well worth every penny!

If you're a cookbook junky like me, you'll enjoy this one - and you'll be amazed at what has won big dough in the past (really, marshmallows in a crescent roll?) Fun to read for background stories and fun to try some of the winners as well.

Wonderful cookbook! The recipes are easy to follow and the photos are beautiful. I can see why these are prize-winners. Hats off to the cooks and to the publishers of this book!
