I love my 11’ Cover n Cook! Relevant personal information for this review: I am a mom of young kids. I don’t have a lot of kitchen storage. I don’t have a lot of money. Being environmentally friendly is important to me & the dangers of plastic, both the environmental impacts & the potential negative health impacts, matter to me. This product is awesome, what a brilliant idea! I use this lid to help keep my microwave clean & keep my food from drying out. The 11” fits perfectly onto my dinner plates. The cover is deep enough so that the lid won’t touch my food. My small plates fit completely underneath. It is vented-but just enough-not so much that splatter will escape underneath the vents. I like how the vents are scalloping around the edge, it’s pretty. It’s important to me that I can use this one product for multiple jobs, because I can’t afford lots of kitchen products & I don’t have the space to store them. This is plenty big enough to use to bake 2-3 chicken breasts or 3-4 porch chops, a medium-large amount of casserole. Then, it’s also a lid/splatter cover for microwave. Another thing I’m happy to see is there don’t seem to be seams, the glass feels continuous. I heard bacteria can collect in seams so in terms of staying clean & being easy to clean, this was very well designed & hits the mark. I’m always happy to ditch plastic. Every little bit matters. It seems like it’s virtually impossible to completely avoid plastic as an average American family, but every little bit helps. I feel like each time I use glass instead of plastic it’s a win & this lid makes it super easy & inexpensive to ditch plastic wrap or plastic containers to heat food. Actually, over time I’m sure I’ll save money not buying those products. I’ll be giving these as gifts to several people. It is a one size fits all gift & is eco friendly.

I spent a minute searching for an alternative to the plastic microwave food covers that seem to be everywhere on the internet. It took me a minute to find this one, but I'm glad I did. While this cover is a bit heavy and a little bit unwieldy because it doesn't a have a handle, you sort of know that going in. Other covers may have a handle, but this cover doubles as an oven proof dish or pie plate. It has a bigger storage footprint, but It still gets a solid five stars.

Good width Sturdy Too short for anything other than plates Easy to clean We have shallow bowls and this ALMOST fits over them. If it were even a quarter inch taller, it would be a lot more useful for those plus other dishes. It will not fit over the glass storage bowls from Corning. It's plenty wide, just not tall enough. But it works great over large and small plates, so we'll keep using it. It is heavy and feels very sturdy. We run it through the dishwasher when there's room. Otherwise we was by hand, and it's easy to clean.

Great way to avoid needing to clean the microwave constantly. Great way to avoid more plastic in your life. Unfortunately glass is naturally a little heavy and this is no exception. But it nails what I need!

Superior design with the rim all the way around so you don’t drop the lid accidentally. I did a ton of research and there was negative feedback on having a handle at the top so the rim around the edge is the safest Next alternative. My food also heats up fat more evenly so 5/5

This cover is great!! Good coverage, a little heavy but sturdy. To help avoid cracking: when it comes out hot out of the microwave don’t place on a cold surface!!! Be careful placing it down you don’t bang it too hard or it can break. It’s a little heavy. Also try to avoid dishwasher cleaning, very easy to clean by hand. Don’t take much room!! Love the edge to hold and lift it from when hot.

The product is listed as an eleven-inch cover. Unfortunately, the diameter of the opening is actually a little over nine inches, not eleven. It’s the outer diameter of the lip that’s eleven. If you bought an eleven-inch pie pan, pot, plate, bowl, or almost any other kitchen product, would you expect it to actually be nine inches? I will be returning this product. It’s not wide enough to cover the average bowl in our house or a standard ten-inch paper plate. Calling this product an eleven-inch cover feels more like another example of shrinkflation. I gave the cover three stars instead of one because of its quality construction.

I am used to heating up my food without a lid but realized that doing so can cause the food to not be heated too efficiently and cause it to vaporize and disperse all over the microwave. I tried using a ceramic plate as a lid but that can cause steam to build up and burst. So the best option for a plastic free microwave lid with vent holes was this company and their various glass lids. These are more expensive than their plastic counterparts but well worth the cost for environmental and health benefits. So far this lid has been working great. Just wish there were more sizes than just a couple that this company has.

These lids are amazing! I was wary of the plastic microwave covers and these are just what I needed! They work well with my bowls (not so much with plates).

I'm keeping this item only because I have not been able to find a ~28 cm diameter cover with other brands. The material and its premium feel is in line with known brands BUT the pricing is way too high compared with those other brands. The premium pricing had me thinking it will come with nice packaging too but it's a disappointment on that front. Also its unique selling point for me is to not use plastic, and along this line packaging should not be in a styro, which is what it came in with!!! Do better Amazon.

It is thick and heavy so would take more time to heat food. Otherwise does what it is meant to.

It is a wonderful product. I am very pleased that it is not cheap glass but a very high quality glass.
