It looks like the mould is upside in terms of wick placement? As in shouldn’t the opening of the mould be at the neck so you pour in the wax around it

No, the opening is at the bottom because that way doesn't affect the look of the candle and is easy to demold, if the opening was at the neck, you wouldn't be able to demold it properly. All I do is make a hole at the end of the neck and put the wick on there, so when u demold, is nice and smooth.
