I started writing with fountain pens a few years ago; I think they take less effort to use than ball points, and I like the fact that I am not throwing plastic away every few weeks because I cannot refill a ballpoint. I've only had "starter" pens thus far...a few Lamy Safaris and a Lamy All-Star, which work very well (are tough pens as well), but I'd admired this all-brass pen for a few months until I decided to pull the trigger on it, and am SOOO HAPPY that I did. This is a BEAUTIFUL pen, and the nib it came with glides across the page for me...it writes much smoother than my Lamy pens, and it really feels "like butter". That, combined with the fact that its made of brass, make me very confident that this is "my pen" until I get planted in the ground, and one of my kids gets it. Wonderful pen, from a storied company with a long tradition of pen-making...it helps you understand why our grandparents bought things that were not disposable. Buy this pen, it is worth it.

This is my daily driver pen - I use it 24/7, carry it in my back pocket. It's beautiful, rugged, sustainable, and reusable. This is what more products should aspire to be like. It's my first fountain pen so I can't compare it to much but for such as well-known model, the sport lives up to its name and is perfect for a beginner looking to get some enjoyment and class out of their day-to-day.
