No instructions on how to hydrate it??? Really?

3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons liquid and one cup TVP. Bring liquid to a boil and pour over TVP. Stir and let stand 5-10 minutes. You can use water, but I prefer to use broth (for savory dish) or fruit juice (for sweet dish). If I rehydrate it for a specific dish, chili for example, I add in the spices and other flavorings to the dry TVP before adding the liquid. That way your flavors are in the TVP from the beginning.
