Suitable for 2 to 4 players, these cards offer a quick 30-minute playtime, making them perfect for both casual and strategic gaming sessions. ## Description Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards Set delivers updated graphics and premium-quality cards for dedicated strategy game enthusiasts. This upgrade pack contains 250 Victory, Treasure, and Curse cards with refreshed artwork that brings new life to your collection. Why This Product Matters:Designed specifically for players who have worn their original decks through years of competitive playFeatures improved card stock and printing quality compared to earlier editionsPerfect addition for collectors seeking the latest version of this classic deck-building gameUpdated visual design that matches modern Dominion expansions seamlesslyWhat's Included:250 cards total: Victory cards, Treasure cards, and Curse cardsProfessional printing with enhanced durability for shuffle-resistant gameplayVibrant updated graphics that appeal to both new and veteran playersCompatible with existing Dominion expansions for expanded strategic depthWhether you're refreshing your worn deck or building a complete set, these base cards provide the quality and reliability that serious board gamers expect from Rio Grande Games. This is a set of 250 cards: all the basic Victory, Treasure, and Curse cards from the Dominion games and its expansions. It does not include any Victory or Treasure cards that are Kingdom cards. All cards bear new graphics and are compatible with Dominion and all its extensions. These cards can be used to replace the basic cards from Dominion or Dominion: Intrigue or they can be used with the expansions that contain no basic cards. The set also includes a new Trash card, also with new graphics. It will come in a small box without a plastic liner for storage as we expect many players will simply transfer these cards to one of their other Dominion games. Review: Makes it easier to play the expansion sets - If you have a bunch of Dominion like us and don't want to open Dominion or Intrigue every time you play these are super useful. Good quality and it means you can play an expansion game without having to open another box. Review: Makes expansions much more fun - I was uncertain whether this would be worth the money: sure, it's cheap, but it doesn't really let you do anything you couldn't before. In practice, I find it's surprisingly convenient. When we want to play with an expansion, now we just grab that expansion and the Base Cards, instead of lugging around the bulky base set box. The small size of the Base Cards box makes a huge difference. The new art is also a big draw. It's definitely an upgrade over the original; the potion is particularly beautiful. One drawback, though, is that it makes it harder to see (at a glance) the difference between card cost and value, both for victory and treasure. Take the Province: the original cards have a huge "6" on the front, but with the new cards, I've caught myself more than once counting them for 8 at game's end. We also had a new player try to buy a Gold for 3! These problems are minor (especially for experienced players), but they do pop up from time to time. Overall, the Base Card expansion is a surprisingly satisfying buy for Dominion lovers who have multiple expansions (we have all of them). That's the target demographic - if you're satisfied with just the Base Set and/or Intrigue, don't bother picking this up just for the new art. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B007MKLX84 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #59,589 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #1,478 in Dedicated Deck Card Games | | Brand Name | Rio Grande Games | | Color | Multicolor | | Container Type | Box | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 938 Reviews | | Edition | Standard Edition | | Educational Objective | Improve strategic thinking and planning skills | | Estimated Playing Time | 30 minutes | | Expansion For | Dominion | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00655132004718 | | Grenre | Strategy | | Included Components | Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards | | Item Dimensions | 1.62 x 7.75 x 4 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W | 7.75"L x 4.25"W | | Item Display Dimensions | 10 x 0.01 x 10 inches | | Item Part Number | RIO471 | | Item Type Name | Game | | Item Weight | 1 kg | | Manufacturer | Publisher Services Inc (PSI) | | Manufacturer Part Number | RGG471 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards | | Model Number | 471RGG | | Model Year | 2008 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Players | 5 to 6 | | Operation Mode | manual | | Other Special Features of the Product | Expansion Compatibility | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Product Style | Minimalist | | Set Name | Dominion Base Cards Set | | Subject Character | Bear | | Theme | Games | | UPC | 794628963990 798525902946 655132004718 | | Unit Count | 250 Count | ## Images ![Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards - 250 Victory, Treasure & Curse Cards - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cD6Mob2TL.jpg) ![Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards - 250 Victory, Treasure & Curse Cards - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71UI8Om7LWL.jpg) ![Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards - 250 Victory, Treasure & Curse Cards - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71KwtxmtVLL.jpg) ![Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards - 250 Victory, Treasure & Curse Cards - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71-rz5ubENL.jpg) ![Rio Grande Games Dominion Base Cards - 250 Victory, Treasure & Curse Cards - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81lbFOTACKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes it easier to play the expansion sets *by E***N on June 26, 2026* If you have a bunch of Dominion like us and don't want to open Dominion or Intrigue every time you play these are super useful.
