Works on removing residue from paper.
So far, has worked well for removing tape residue from paper. Requires care in not rubbing too hard. Also rotating eraser so not rubbing with the same area. Good value. I have not tried on other items yet, but worked for what I purchased it for.

Not as good as a mono sand eraser
This works ok to remove some types of adhesives. I still prefer a sand eraser for removing any type of smudge.
