The recommended average TBW Rating is 4, for an average typical user. I am very pleased with the overall performance of the WD-Black. And have found it runs cooler than my Samsung EVO's. And seems on equal footing speed wise. I replace my SSD's from primary position to secondary non-backup position every 4 years. Leveraging off the PCIe(xpress) bus. Determining factor is the 5 pins rather than 6. **Q: Does it work with the ps5** A: I’m giving it a try I just bought mine, waiting for it to come in a week & a half later. I see that the mbs is 400 less than the recommended that the Ps5 requires & a bit skeptical about it, but I’m willing to give it a shot, especially for the price it’s going for compared to the other ones that are expensive. If I get this & nothing wrong with this m.2 then I’ll keep it but if there is then it’s obvious that I’ll return it & have to just save up for the official pS5 compatible m.2.
