This product is pictured on the bottom, the Goody in center, and a different generic on top. As you can see these are slightly shorter than the original which initially concerned me as I have very thick hair. However, I have used these for a few weeks and I have to say they perform just as well as the original and I may even prefer the shorter length as they are less likely to twist into each other. Two of them hold my hair for the whole day. Pros: Molded metal ends - no rubber to fall off and leave sharp points Right amount of flexibility - springy enough to grab the hair, strong enough to hold it Cost - 10 for less than the cost of 2 name brand Cons: 1 out of 10 had a sharp, little imperfection near the end - file with a metal nail file and it’s all good The paint will wear off - happens to all of them You’ll lose them - that’s why you need 10!

Was looking for a more secure alternative to bobby pins, and these fit the bill. I have relatively straight hair with the loosest wave and a medium thickness, and four pins is enough to secure my hair in a bun that isn't too tight or floppy and stay there even if I jump or toss my bangs. Nothing has bent, the little rounded ends haven't sharpened or fallen off either. The only issue I have is that the paint lasted all of three uses before they started to flake badly. I could brush my hair carefully and little bits of paint fall all over the counter, and more bits will wash out when shampooing in the shower. Would love these more if the color was anodized or something and not painted on, though the bits of silver left on my now mostly-bare pins are at least still hidden well with the texture of my hairstyle. Decently worth the price since somehow zero stores in my area stock this type if hairpin, but I'd buy again if I knew the paint issue was fixed.

I absolutely love using these spiral hair pins. No pain to your scalp, no hair damage. They work wonderfully on both thick or thin hair. Great hold and comfort. Two pins give more hold than a handful of flat pins. I will definitely purchase again!

As a mother of two girls with waist length hair these are a huge help in making quick hairstyles that stay in place. I love the spin pin concept, but I found these particular ones to be of lesser quality than the Goody ones (also far less expensive). They bend quite easily which can sometimes make extraction more difficult, and after a couple of months of use some of them are losing their coating. For the price though, they’re worth it.

Does the job of keeping hair in a bun nicely. I find taking them out a little difficult more when you get to the end, I find it starts to tangle in my hair a bit, but with a bit of back and forth they do end up getting out without pulling hair.

Shorter than advertised. Won’t work for longer hair

These are rubbish. The ends have a little ball to protect the scalp but the join between the ball a d pin is jagged, so it grabs and pulls the hair. Do not recommend
