Can this blender be used to blend hot liquids, such as coffee?

Yes. You can not only blend very hot liquids but if you blend anything for several minutes -- like no more than about 8 minutes give or take -- you will heat it to boiling just from the blades' friction, a very useful thing when making certain soups, for instance.

Yes, you can, this blender is perfect for grinding spices, producing smooth purees, chopping vegetables and more.
