Note also the weight of EACH capsule or tablet which is usually 500 mg or 1/2 gram. So in this case, the ingredients list says *per capsule, so you'll be getting 1,200 GDU per each 500 mg capsule, not 2,400 GDU.

Kathy- I take Bromelain as part of a combination of pills to guard against a recurrence of Gout- they aid in flushing uric acid crystals from your system. Sorry, don't know about effect on pain, but do know they came highly recommended for gout relief
