The Long List Anthology Volume 2: More Stories From the Hugo Award Nomination List (The Long List Anthology Series)

I tried to wait until I finished this book to write a review, but I don't get as much time to read as I would like and I am only in the eleventh story of twenty. I have been a voracious reader all my life and when I read a book whether it is a novel or a compilation of short stories, I do not hesitate to skip or quit if I do not like a story. I will admit that with a few novels, I have quit them only to pick them up later and like them. Probably a maturity thing. Anyway, usually with compilations like this book I will skip some stories when they do not grab me, but I am eleven stories into a 20-story collection and every one has been great. If I find any stinkers by the end I will amend this review, but these stories are so imaginative and compelling I could not wait to review until I reached the end.

Some great stories in here. I enjoyed those very much. Some experimental, a little long. Well written, proofread and edited.

Great read!

I love this series of Long List Anthologies. The writing is well done and the unique perspectives are what I crave. I love enlarging my perspective and looking at the world in different ways. It also introduces me to new authors that I can look up and read more of their work. Each of these volumes is well worth the price.

Several wonderful stories. A couple of real stinkers. The usual anthology.

The Long List is definitely worth publishing. Only 1 story not the type I would read. High quality writing. Enriching. A fabulous whimsical allegory of a fantasy that goes where no fantasy has gone before. Looking forward to next years anthology.

I bought this collection and unfortunately for me, it for the most part was not an enjoyable read. Really wish I had the time back that I feel was wasted in the effort.
