Unless I received a defective product, this is definitely not a good wax for candle making.
A soft wax and not good for candle making! I tried making candles with these 3 times and same problem, it burns fast and emits a black smoke. I used the same wick for other waxes and they came out fine so I know the problem is on the wax. Very disappointed with the purchase and a waste of money.

Excellent container wax- easy to melt and pour, great scent throw- completely natural and sustainable! This is a soft wax so it’s only suitable for container candle making.Some friendly advice for fellow candlemakers ...different waxes have different burn qualities and require different wicks even if you use the same amount in the same size jars. Smoking issues, high flame and on that end excessively fast burn are all a signs of over wicking and don’t have anything to do with the wax. Wick sizes and types are not universal. Sometimes different batches of the same wax can vary just enough to have to adjust your wick size!CraftServer is a great internet source of info and advice for chandlers if anyone is interested! It’s been a god send for me and the quality of my candles has increased exponentially as a result.
