Taste OK overall, but not special enough for the price
There are actually 6 different flavors in the package, and most are pretty good. One was so bad, though, I had to spit it out, and I'm not really someone who does that sort of thing. The reason for my low review is that I just had much higher expectations of these for the price. I got something similar at a local gourmet food store that was super yummy, and hence my ordering these. I just didn't find them to be any tastier than something you'd buy in the gourmet food section of TJMaxx or Marshalls, for 1/3 or 1/2 this cost. And then there was the one flavor that was really nasty :-/

Wow, twice as good as I
Scored huge brownie points with the wife with this one. After 30 years, I think I have give her almost everything that is acceptable for Valentines Day. Can't afford the Hope Diamond so I looked up something tasty instead. For not being chocolate covered, this is really great candy in small amounts. Even on a diet, this is a nice treat. Premium fruit combined with pectin and dusted with sugar to keep from sticking, these fruit squares scream flavor. You will be $20 poorer to try these delights, but you won't be disappointed. Even if overpriced for candy, Pate de Fruit is much cheaper than a trip to Paris.

Not worth it
I tried this brand because the Fauchon ones are difficult(impossible) to get in the USA. This Paris Caramel ones are not even close in comparison, in my opinion. Their fresh fruit jam flavour is okay, but the sour to sugar ratio is off. And the size is tiny tiny compared to Fauchon also. Not worth the price for these.

Expected more.

Don't buy these, they are awful.
I expect items from France to be superior and above the rest. My heritage is French so I know good cuisine. These were like eating sugar cubes. I love sugar and if it's too much for me, should speak volume's. And you can't figure out what you are eating because they are not labeled. And if the flavors had not been watered down you would be able to tell if it were raspberry or apricot. I gave them away. So disappointed.

Delicious and worth every penny
My wife loves these candies, which are like eating a concentrate of the best quality fruit preserves. When we go to France, she is on a beeline to the shops that sell them. They are never inexpensive, but there is no place else in the world to buy them. Until now! These Pate de Fruit are the real deal! The price on Amazon is similar to what they sell for in France, and you do not need to book a transAtlantic flight!

Moving on
Sorry, these tasted bitter to me and gave me stomach distress. Eventually threw away the last few. Maybe just a not-for-me issue.

Delicious!
Okay, real French pate de fruit has nothing whatsoever to do with caramels, so just forget that the word is even there. They are basically made of fruit and sugar -- but aren't over sweet. And, no, they are not exactly cheap. But for a wonderful treat that delivers a tangy fruit flavor that is both subtle and delicious, this can't be beat. (This company carries the real thing--not the imitations that add wheat or thickeners .) Recommended!
