Rust-Oleum 330505 Universal All Surface Spray Paint, 12 oz, Matte Farmhouse Black

I painted all of my bathroom fixtures matte black and it turned out great. Easy spray makes it go on like a pro.

Great color! I used the spray paint on my kitchen hardware. That was a lot less expensive than replacing the hardware.I even used it on my doorknob to get rid of the bright gold color.

Worked as intended, nice even coverage.

Update: I contacted Rust-Oleum and they offered to send me some cans of paint but I declined as I didn't need any more. However, yesterday I received a refund for my purchase and that was nice.--------I expected better from a Rust-Oleum product.First this is not matte as it has a sheen to it. I could live with that but there were other problems and unfortunately it is not returnable.The paint kept coming out in sputters periodically so there are spots on my items that I didn't notice until I was finished spraying them. I followed the directions and I've spray painted many items in my house and haven't had this problem with Krylon, or for that matter the Rust-Oleum I've purchased at the big hardware store.Also, as I sprayed, paint kept sputtering or oozing out onto my fingers.When you touch the paint, it leaves a white ash look. Since where I will have these will not be touched, that's not an issue for me but you should know that.The finish looked awful. And do you know how I fixed it? With a can of Krylon matte black that cost less than this one did. The finish now looks so much better and it's a true matte.Really disappointed as I paid a little more for this 'farmhouse matte black' instead of purchasing the cheaper regular ol' matte black or just using the Krylon I had in the first place!Won't buy this one again and I wasted my money on this purchase.

Love the brand but these new spray tops are terrible in the white color (farmhouse white, may be the correct name). The sprayer spits and eventually drips if you don’t use long-spraying waves over the surface you’re painting. Long strokes without spraying on and off is difficult for smaller objects up to 16 inches. I did not have issue with the black. Even on small objects. The white was another story. Two white cans constantly dripped and dribbled. Also, I believe the white cans said matte finish, which is what I wanted but they are a satin finish. Big difference! The black came out satin as well. I’m torn on three or four stars. For brand and durability, definitely five stars. For finish and mess-free, two or three stars. Based on my personal use and outcome: White, two stars. Black, four stars. I’ll look for the original spray cans next time I purchase this brand. The original cans also come out with the finish you want.
