The Cohering Force of Love
Thea Summer Dear's book speaks directly to the sense of wonder and awe at the heart of the great mystery of the universe. Thea is a mature, enlightened, evolved woman, musician, midwife, herbalist and thinker who includes many references to the end of patriarchy, global extinction of native species, and destruction of habitats in her riveting descriptions of 13 herbs. Many of these plants are familiar but Summer Dear's channeled communication makes them alive in a wholly new way. While it is clear that our old world is passing away, the Devas speak of a new world filled with light that cherishes everything because everything is made of the same substance. Our common chemical and elemental compositions mean that the plant Devas can communicate with those like Summer Deer who take the time and focus to listen to them. We are the herbs; we are the Devas; we are the Earth and the heavens above is Summer Deer's message. The Wisdom of the Plant Devas is exactly what the title suggests: a new wisdom for a new/old Earth that is beautiful in the smallest and the largest of creation, and held together by love. I think everyone who reads this book through to the end will be inspired to create a medicine wheel garden at least in the positive field of their imagination.

Beautiful, Wise...
If you are interested in Real Earth medicine, and how we're evolving with Earth - this book is for you. Every herb featured has a channeled message from the Deva of that plant Spirit - and these are timeless, ancient future messages that speak to the Heart of our healing/ascension with Earth. Thank You Thea!

He Emperor is not wearing any clothes!
I am really trying to be positive here, but just find myself bewildered. Maybe I'm not enlightened enough, but I can't get through part one. Even after reading and re-reading the first 20 pages, I still can't understand the author's flow of reasoning. Her ideas are"progressive" and ethereal ( far out), and there is no grounding tether to guide the reader's understanding from "here" to " there". I purchased the book because of its endorsement by Lewis Mehl-Madronas - an imaginative AND very grounded healer whose work I respect and enjoy. I am wondering who the other reviewers of this book are, and what their connection is to the author. Do they just know her personally? I am open to the possibility that it is simply me, and that I Just don't get it, and I really am curious- does ANYONE get it? Do other readers actually understand what this woman is saying? She perhaps is very wise and may be able to perceive that which is not obvious to the rest of us, however it feels like she has lost her connection to this reality and is no longer able to relate to the common experience, and meet the student on solid ground - which is again bewildering for a book about plants- which grow from the ground...

The Generous Plant People
This book is filled with enchanting, profoundly wise reflections that open further the possibility that, even as there was a unifying time when we came to realize how much more sensitivity and awareness there is in our animal relatives, the time is upon us now to sense that possibility with our plant relatives, as well.

Excellent!
This is an excellent book, written from the heart to the readers' heart. The information is presented in a beautiful way that assists in remembering sacred truths and being awakened to the Gifts of the plant devas. Definitely leaves a smile on the heart upon each reading! S. Rose

A great reference for me
A great reference for me. The approach is not at all right brained--being a free spirited, intuitive person, I found it a pleasure to read. I can imagine that the more scientific-minded, critical, uptight individual would have difficulty with it.

To me its bringing a new depth to the herbalism and its an other good book to add on to my resources and knowledge
Very interesting book on plants with another point of view: the Devas and the magic they bring. To me its bringing a new depth to the herbalism and its an other good book to add on to my resources and knowledge. I am very happy that I found it!
